@truehappiness you got your decision a few days after submitting your sgr? what are your stats? I find it weird that some applicants hear back quicker than others do.
I got accepted as well! No portal update, but a letter in the mail. I hope to see you all there, Congrats! I’m from LACC, my major is theatre, I had about 30 credits. I’ll be living off campus at my grandparent’s haha. Fight on, homies.

i think if you live close you get the mail faster than your portal updates

@journalism89 for me what happened was another notification popped up which said admission decision. The SGR notification was still there and it displayed just another notification.

Stats: From Skyline High School in Utah, was in the IB Program, only did certificates, no diploma, but still got some credits, had a 3.5 GPA. Then in LACC I had 25 transferable credits (I thought I had 30, but I miscalculated woops), GPA 4.0. Again I wish to see you all there.
@Cindyciclta I hope u get accepted!!! I’m a CSBA major as well, i’ve been keeping an eye out for you cuz ur the only one I know here who is majoring in that ahahah. I’m gonna apply for next fall! I got a 4.0 my first year with Calc 1 and 2. Keep me posted

I emailed my advisor an unofficial grade report on June 17, and I found out the acceptance on June 20 (though my acceptance letter was dated June 18). I was surprised to hear back so quickly.
Hmm, so I was checking out the first transfer orientation (they’ve been doing freshmen orientation lately) is July 19th - the same day as my data structures final. If anybody is going, wave hello and wish me luck lol 
The average grade on the midterm we took yesterday was 66/100 - yikes (and I was sadly a bit lower than that).
@zettasyntax You are crazy to take CS104 during the summer. My son took that course last Fall and it’s intense. He ended up with a B (by the skin of his teeth) and was thrilled.

@GamerGal27 thats really impressive, CS 104 is the hardest weed out course at USC. If you don’t mind me asking but, did your son have alot of prior experience?
@itslife123 Not really. He took CS103 and CS109 prior to that but that’s all the experience he had. He’s a very hard worker; doesn’t party, stays focused on academics and is a perfectionist (which has its own set of problems).
As a rising Junior, a CS (Games) major and Game audio minor he has a 3.71 GPA and he’s worked hard for every bit of it.
@GamerGal27 That makes me really happy to hear that CC students are doing well in the CS curriculum. Although I get transfer credit for CSCi 103, im planning on retaking it (and im sure your son would agree with that).because I don’t want to completely struggle in CSCi 104
@itslife123 Actually he was a freshman spring admit and went to the American University of Paris the fall before he started at USC. Being a freshman spring admit is like a cross between being a transfer and a traditional freshman: issues with housing, social life, not knowing how everything quite worked, etc. At the end of the day it all worked out.
@GamerGal27 Yeah, I wanted to take it during the summer because I figured I would be able to dedicate more time to it, but it’s moving along a little too fast for my liking! We have to make like a basic version of Twitter and it hasn’t been easy so far. I’d honestly be happy with a C+, but I did actually do pretty okay with the more difficult questions on the exam (I miraculously did the final question worth the most points totally right); I just need to study a bit harder.
I submitted my transcript 24 hours ago but the option to submit one is still there, that’s fine right? I haven’t receive a confirmation email from them either.
