2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

@daRamz it feels like we’re waitlisted at this point. Once an accepted applicants decides not to attend, the next application from the SGR applicant list is pulled up and reviewed for either an acceptance or rejection I assumed.

@pomeranian4rich I’m also on TTP and still haven’t heard anything. My counselor told me I did everything correct, but yet I’m still waiting on a decision lol.

@lk1626 I’m also a marshall applicant still waiting. 4.0sgr i think completed all prereq(math, english)took acct1 and 2(this summer) and marcoecon

@John6311 maybe they’re waiting for more spaces to admit you lol…

@lk1626 i’m a marshall applicant as well!!! I sent my spring grades may 20th and when I realized they hadn’t been processed after three weeks I droppped off my transcript in person (6/10). Have been waiting ever since.

These past few weeks have been extremely quiet I expect a bunch of admission letters this coming week.

“USC is blind to need based…or so they say. I’m sure they wouldn’t lie about that.”

It also shouldn’t matter; applicants shouldn’t care about a school’s being need blind/aware; it affects only the chance of admission, not how much you like a school.

Marshall applicant still waiting for a decision. All ge and prerequisites completed 4.0 GPA with 61 units

How long does it take for your admissions counselor to respond to your e-mails? I sent her an e-mail yesterday afternoon.

I emailed mine like two weeks back he got back to me within 3 days …but theyre probably getting spammed like aloooooot with questions on decisions I say email again just to be safe

Has anyone that got an SGR from Viterbi heard back yet?

@John6311 Sorry for the late reply, but yeah I got accepted in Mid-april. I found Mr. Gullota to be pretty helpful through email

Ahh I see. When you got accepted I think that’s when they were deciding to send me an SGr since I had my English and diversity class in progress.

What courses did you take during the fall? @pugluver97

Hey guys, this wait is literally killing me! I just wanted to ask, is there a possibility that we could get a response during the weekend?

@Usctrojanhopeful I’m a Viterbi SGR waiting too :expressionless: feels like an eternity

@irishrider It really does feel like an eternity.

Honestly, I sort of doubt it considering the amount of applications they got the numbers to be admitted being this lat in the game seem not good unfortunately sadly the whole Spring grade request seems more like a torture method rather than a chance to get admitted for most hahahah

@daRamz I do think it means something that we have gotten this far though, quite a few have already been rejected already (before June 1st) and if you got an SGR it means they saw something that they liked, that gives me some hope. We’ll see though, I don’t think I’m particularly special here or standing out but I’m amazed I’ve made it this far, so hey, lets stay positive :). It’s not over until it’s over. No denying that it is torture though

@Irishrider that cornell applicant with a 4.0 sgr got rejected earlier this week. Submitted his sgr in may. I don’t even know anymore at this point. There could still be rejections being sent out. I thought it would be all acceptance at this point, but who knows?

I don’t even know man I’ve heard they have a pretty aggressive outreach to applicants because they’re trying to fluff the numbers and seem more competitive driving down the acceptance rate which looking at the numbers for admissions statistics seems like it… eeeeeh what can I say I doubt this late in the game I get an acceptance considering the number of applicants and how late the the sprung request puts us in consideration
