has anyone who has gotten ability to benefit been rejected
@xerxes96 it has been proven that no one gets rejected after the ability to benefit notification.
Ugh a million questions and concerns, this is all so stressful. Are the undergraduate apartments on-campus also full? I know they said undergrad housing or something but is that what they mean too?
Yes. @bergamott
@John6311 did their portal update this weekend? I’m sorry!
Has anyone’s portal updated today or do you guys think we have to wait for Monday?!
@bergamott Looks like all on-campus hosing is full. Does anyone know of some good off-campus places, that are close enough to campus???
@John6311 The commitment deposit due date is based on when you get notified of acceptance, it is not a general deadline. That is two weeks from when you got your notification of acceptance, it has nothing to do with anyone else. People that got notified at end of May or beginning of June - doesn’t matter when - individually they each have two weeks to accept or not.
In 2015, 5,880 transfer applicants out of 8,330 (71%) were rejected, so obviously most people rejected don’t post here. And yes, many 4.0 or higher get rejected, particularly from Viterbi.
was his transfer gpa 4.0 or his cumulative ?? maybe was he a SGR person because seeing as how they dont wait for the sgr people to begin going over applications they might have admitted a bunch of people who had already had all their things together and didnt have to do the whole sgr thing
@topchoiceschool I was wondering the same thing… All the off campus places I’ve looked at seem to have terrible reviews
I received my package today thru the mail and its BEAUTIFUL
SGR on April 22nd and submitted grades May 3rd, is it weird that I still haven’t heard anything?!
@mr.transfer did u receive that ability to benefit thing ?? And if u did how long did y wait for your package
@blueskies2day I’ve been realizing that Viterbi rejects more than the other Departments, Is it cuz its impacted?
@bergamott @topchoiceschool what kind of off-campus housing were you guys looking for? I know the Lorenzo apartments near USC are super super nice! They’re good for splitting rooms though since they’re on the expensive side. You can also check out City Park apartments. Not super nice but probably a bit more affordable. I live in the LA area so let me know if you guys want some more recommendations! I believe the Metro is making tons of more stops all over DTLA!
@eoverland my portal hasn’t updated since the Ability to Benefit has come through. Has yours? Guess the long wait till Monday begins now…
For those who are still looking for housing are u looking for roomates?
is there a certain price range youre looking for?
@blueskies2day makes sense!
@mr.transfer I received my package today too! It is absolutely beautiful!
@jare_beaer I haven’t either! What are your stats?
How many units does everyone plan on taking?
Do you think 18 would be a bit much for my first semester if I’ll also be working @zettasyntax? I’ve never taken more than 16, but I am just incredibly excited for all the classes USC offers relating to my major/minor!
