Kind of frustrating that I have to pay the enrollment fee to see how many units transfer over and how much financial aid I get

@thepinksun I just got my financial aid so I think you’ll get yours tomorrow. Since I’m a spring admit the total amount of cost is 35,000 and I got 22,000 in aid.

I would say my essays were good, but I’m not entirely sure. I didn’t have anyone read it really.
I have been volunteering in an elementary classroom for about 7 years, involving countless hours.
@John6311 Did you e-mail your advisor or someone in Marshall/Dornslife to switch? I’m doing an interdisciplinary but what to switch to a different but extremely related interdisciplinary. Also did your aid pop up in FAST or somewhere else?
@bergamott I just emailed my counselor and he said that he’ll change it and told me what classes to take during the fall.
My financial aid was updated on FAST so the portal. I don’t think we get a physical letter?
@xerxes96 I don’t think you need to pay your deposit to get your aid.
@john6311 Is that total for everything included or only for tuition. The 35k you stated.

@ryanstartedthefire2020 Perhaps not. It seems a bunch of us are scattered all over the place so that could be it. Skalbeck is my counselor but I have never been able to contact her, emails or otherwise.
@ryanstartedthefire2020 are you still waiting? marshall applicant? My portal hasn’t changed yet. What are they literally doing?? Do they really need this MUCH time to decide our decisions?
@pomeranian4rich I don’t want to freak anyone out but I feel like they shouldn’t still be giving out acceptances, if even just as a courtesy. They have inconvenienced so many with these late decisions. The deadline to sign up for the last transfer orientation is in two days even. They’ve really dropped the ball with this. It’s a mess.
Is there anyway to switch from Spring to Fall? Just found out about Marshall acceptance yesterday
@ezgnim We spoke about this a couple pages back, but it’s worth it to be repeated. There’s basically no way to bump your spring admittance from spring to fall. I know @zettasyntax tried everything he could and nothing happened.

You guys should call the general admission line and ask for an “update on the status of my application.” I did that all the time. They can’t tell you what a decision is but they will tell you if a decision has been made. Don’t be afraid to call! They close soon
@ezgnim Indeed, haha. I thought they would at least acknowledge a student crazy enough to send a letter to the usc prez’s house, but nope 
I don’t know what the packet looks like this year, but for me, there was a line stating something like “we consider all spring admits for fall admission”, so basically if you’re going to be moved up, they’ll let you know. It’s random and I don’t know anybody that got moved up last year =\ And going by what I’ve seen people say on the thread this year, it seems a little unlikely many spots will open up.
mhmm it does seem like they accepted a bunch of people this year, I’m really glad I got accepted regardless of spring
