2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Hey guys, sorry to stop the flow of the housing conversation…I am a Marshall finance applicant, and it looks like a lot of Marshall applicants received an SGR already. Is it a bad sign that I haven’t received a SGR yet? I’m just so nervous :((

@isan2018 it simply means they either didnt go over ur app yet, or if they have gone over ur app, u have completed all the required prereqs and 30 sem units. doens’t mean much besides that

@John6311 I just tried your method and was able to register for a housing account. I haven’t received a SGR :-??

lol to everyone who’s worried about the housing app and its relation to an SGR, acceptance, OASIS etc THERE IS NONE. relax. having access to the housing application means NOTHING in relation to admission. you guys are seriously overreacting and overthinking this.

Yeah I agree. Pressing the register option on the housing applicant can be done by anyone honestly.

Having access to OASIS/Housing is indeed, no indication of anything.

@Sxsxjx I agree!

i got access to housing, no SGR though

I applied to viterbi and is it true that i won’t get an SGR/decision until the end of may?

I got access to Housing, no SGR. Marshall Applicant with back up Economics at Dornsife.

Has anyone that has received an SGR received their instructions through mail?

@wtb2525 also a marshall applicant too

Hey guys:) I’m a Dornsife applicant (incoming sophomore with 18 units completed so far) and just received a SGR.

Does anyone know how/when transfer merit scholarships are decided? Does an early decision signify a better chance at a scholarship?

@John6311 I received my instructions though mail today. letter dated April 21st. Marshall applicant btw

Do we not receive our scholarship/financial aid info when we get our acceptance packet?

@IBProspect123 The portal says that financial aid for transfers is decided in early May, so I haven’t seen it yet. I haven’t seen any info about the merit scholarship though.

@John6311 I received an SGR through the mail yesterday, dated April 21.

@USCsssss Yes you can! Contact your admission counselor about it. That’s what I did last year… in like last June and they still allowed me to change!

Hi All,

I applied as a fall 2016 transfer from a CC in NYC
Can you guys give any advice on how to ask questions to my local dmissions counsler about the status of my app?
