2016 - 2017 USC Transfer

Lurking through the 2015 thread, for ANNENBERG transfers, saw that most of the acceptances didn’t come until around June 1st. What a long wait for us! I-)

@jlev96 Oh lol but May 25-29?! You got to be kidding me… I won’t be able to sleep for another one month?! OMG.

The only thing that worries me is that I only have 35 completed credits and 16 in progress… I feel like I have not enough credits compare to fellow applicants to viterbi :frowning:

How many credits are AP exams worth. I have a total of 5 ap courses with a score of 4 or 5.

My financial aid says everything will be processed in 3-5 days after everything is turned in. Does anyone know if financial aid package will actually come out in 3-5 days?

anyone know what the trends have been for Dornsife?

USC is taking way too long. Pepperdine University enrollment deadline was May 1st. After thinking long and hard I decided to accept Pepperdine. When USC comes out with decision I might accept to go there instead. But Pepperdine gave me a very nice scholarship which is very difficult to refuse.

My restrictions JUST changed on OASIS… Freaking out.

@AIS562 good luck!! I wish I had access to Oasis! What is your password format?? Keep us posted with how things turn out!!!

I wonder if I’m getting rejected? I don’t know what to think right now. I’m absolutely freaking out.

And btw, I used my date of birth. MMDDYYYY.

Do you guys think a C will look bad for my spring grade report? It’s not the end of the semester yet but I don’t think I’m going to be able to raise my grade in one of my classes…

I just checked you.usc and there’s no messages but I checked on application documents and there’s an option to add my spring quarter transcript. But I didn’t get any letter or anything. Is this normal??? I’m so scared. I want to get in

If you get a SGR, does that mean you’re in???

We have requested your spring term grades. We mailed you specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing. We hope to receive the grades before June 30. We expect you will be notified of our final decision by mid-July.

DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE A SHOT AT GETTING IN???

@usctrojansucla SGR does not mean that you’re automatically in, otherwise they would’ve just saved everyone the time and sent an acceptance instead. It means neither an acceptance nor a rejection, they simply need more information from you to be able to make a decision. It is a somewhat good sign though because they see potential in you and do not want to reject you immediately. It is true that most people who have received a SGR have ultimately been accepted, implying that they all continued to report good grades, but obviously also rejections may follow a SGR.

I would still love to know specifically: what are the “specific instructions on how to submit your grades for expedited processing.” Can anyone specify what they are? Just so curious since my kid would like to submit them exactly that way.

@jazzshreddermom Under your sons school portal, you should have some sort of option to send transcripts. Then you just select the schools you want them sent too and pay the fee. They take care of the rest for you.

@badmintongirl Is it a major course?

Still no SGR or admission notification from Marshall…Im so so worried. I actually thought I would have a decent shot - but i don’t know anymore, especially since a lot of Marshall applicants seem to have been notified already.

Stats: 3.83 GPA, 60+ Credits, currently attending a pretty decent 4 year university. I also sent in 3 good (i think) rec letters, and have siblings attending the school.

This wait is killing me ~X(

Also, to those of you taking finals this week, GOOD LUCK!

@isan2018 what are your stats?
