@ParadoxicalFire It’s going to end up being a situation where you have to commit to your back-up and withdraw enrollment if you get into USC. So you’ll just end up losing your commitment deposit if that’s the route you want to take.
@phoenix23 CONGRATS! Either way, you’ve got two amazing schools to choose from!
@phoenix23 congrats!! You’re an out of state applicant correct?
Was it a letter in your check application status tab?? @phoenix23
@ParadoxicalFire I am in the same dilemma as well! I am planning to pay the non-refundable commitment deposit to SDSU by May 1st. And still wait until June 1st to hear back from USC.
@Transfer510 You will know when it looks different. All the links and you see enrollment deposit link.
@OmerZZ I feel you, my enrollment deadline for Vandy is May 2
Does anyone know if USC notify of acceptance to “any” transfer student before June 1st? Do they ever send acceptance by early May? thanks,
@OmerZZ They should still send them out in May! Their decisions aren’t done until June (and even later for SGR students), so I’m pretty sure there’s still acceptances out in May~
@OmerZZ yeah tons of people have already gotten in. They’re releasing them in waves I think. June 1 is the last day to hear back not the day decisions are released.
wait people have already heard earlier than today?
@transfer510 only a handful have heard back. Many of them are TTP applicants. But the majority of applicants (including TTP applicants) have not heard back yet. Like 90% of decisions have yet to be released.
@mellyjune Oh i dont know what TTP is but thank you! Ugh im so anxious about the decisions haha
@transfer510 TTP (Trojan Transfer Plan) applicants are people who get rejected as first year applicants but USC doesn’t want to let go of them so they are offered a special plan to transfer. They get assigned admissions counselors who help them with choosing courses to transfer. It’s not guaranteed admission but most TTP who have over a 3.7? 3.5 I can’t remember which one but as long as they maintain that specific GPA they usually get in. They usually are the first to hear back but some of them don’t hear back until later because being a TTP does not guarantee admittance or hearing back early. These people are usually legacies (but not all of them though)
Hope that helps some what!
You’re definitely not alone! I’m very nervous too! Good luck to us all!!! Not too much longer!
do junior applicants usually not get SGRs? Is it mainly just for sophomores?
@eden97 if I were to make an educated guess, I would assume SGRs go out to people who have a lot of GEs/Major pre reqs in progress to see successful completion in those courses.
so some juniors who don’t have a lot of GEs completed would get them too
Is anyone else’s yousc portal down?
@millaportman nope. checking status was slow, but it’s up.
@mellyjune Thanks so much you’ve been so helpful!
@usc2563 Thanks for letting me know!
@Phoenix23 CONGRATS!!! That’s fantastic news!
