Just got accepted sophomore transfer Fall 2017 Marshall.
College: De Anza
GPA: 4.00 (Fall and Winter)
GE’s: Done xcept for ones that have to be taken at USC
Prereq: Done
Units: 40 quarter by Fall
ACT: 34 (Probably why I got in without a SGR)
EC: USC said they don’t care but mine were ok.
Other Results: UC Berkeley (Rejected), UCLA (Rejected) – Applied as a Junior here b/c I had 106 quarter units with my AP’s
UCSD, UC Davis, UCSC, UC Irvine – Accepted.
USC saved my sorry ass after LA and Cal rejections.
Are any sophomore transfers rejected before receiving a SGR?

@joonyblue12 There is a possibility of that happening. I knew a couple of people that were rejected last year as a sophomore before receiving a sgr

@pomeranian4rich hey quick question. So I completed a prereq in winter that I got an a in but sent my transcript in right before my winter grade was updated onto my transcript. Do you think I should send my new transcript with 1 more ge competed in? Or is it no help at this point? Thx
@penntousc I sent her an email about the midterm report and she said not to worry about it and that it could be from my last application.
@uscdream19 I think you should. That one A could mean a lot hahah. I resent mine after I finished two more GE during winter session.

- Do all admitted transfers get a conditions of admissions that requires a 3.5+ GPA from spring course?
- Has Village housing filled up?

I don’t recall getting a conditional offer that stipulated a specific GPA. Most are pretty vague.

Well, it’s hearsay, but somebody from one of my classes was applying for a job that would guarantee her a spot in Village housing as she was told it was completely full. So to me that would indicate Village housing is almost 100% reserved/taken, making the odds of transfers landing a spot there quite slim. I don’t believe other on-campus options are full yet though, so transfers might be placed into those
