2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

No it doesn’t mean anything. They just have the documents they need

Yes

It doesn’t mean anything. They just need more documents for your fafsa

Hey guys! I’ve posted my stats in this thread @pomeranian4rich created
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/1978775-usc-fall-2017-transfer-students-stats-decisions-only-p1.html?new=1
Good luck everyone!

@penntousc I spoke to someone who said that too, but then I spoke to someone who provided contradictory information. It is something that they fix, it is just something that has to be “verified” so they don’t automatically remove it once you call. I had the notice, but they did fix it for me. The person I spoke to last said he put a “tag” on my account so that they would verify/reject it quickly and they did it in one business day.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a sign of admission or anything, since they fixed it for me and I haven’t heard anything back from admissions. I would call and check, because I was told that if they don’t have it/it gets rejected at the last minute, it can take a bit longer to get a financial aid package after admission.

@usc2563 alright thanks!

@NorCalBred I know but like where in your portal?

is admission rolling basis? i applied under marshall as a junior and i see others are already getting acceptance letters…

@penntousc Just called in about an hour ago and I was basically told the same thing. She said they were focused on first years because of the deadline, but would start working on transfers in the next week or two. It didn’t make much sense since Marshall and such should be getting decisions sooner rather than later, but I guess we’ll just have to deal with that glaring missing document for a while longer.

…if someone actually finds out that getting the noncustodial doc approved is a sign of admission let me know!
Clearly I’m just fantasizing over here, haha.

@jieunh omg i’m so glad you mentioned that. it changed for me, too! :^) tbh this did not happen to me last year when I applied. omg

@usc2563

@jonathaanv had it approved, he was the reason I knew to submit that stuff in the first place

@ReallyDoubtful yeah I don’t understand why they care enough to tell us we have documents missing, but are making us wait when it comes to reviewing the documents that we turned in lol… guess it’s not that big of a deal though, they’ll probably fly through all that stuff once we’re (hopefully) admitted

As an incoming sophomore, will having 1 C most likely result in a rejection? All my other grades are As. I asked this b4 and it didn’t seem to be a problem, but now I’m worried because It was mentioned that they don’t see if classes are transferable until after deciding to admit. So even though my C was in a non transferable math class, will they most likely reject? With the C my gpa is 3.71, but my Transferable gap would be 4.00.

Also @singhisking and @Kevinzzz I go to de anza too and applied as an incoming sophomore, is it bad that I haven’t heard back with even an SGR yet!? Other ppl from de anza heard back in late April as well.

@penntousc im a junior transfer

@Skepta Hey! Actually, I don’t know much about applying as a sophomore student, but It seems like everyone on this thread says that sophomore applicant will most likely get an SGR maybe in mid-May.
Don’t worry dude. As long as it’s not a transferable course, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Just focus on this quarter and I hope to seeing you at USC!! Good luck!

Does anybody know how long it takes for a decision to come back after submitting spring grades?

Geez it’s this point in time, I don’t know what to say to my friends at my current school whether to say goodbye forever or I’ll see you next year. Just give me a darn decision already :stuck_out_tongue:

@stahboy lol same! I just finished my last final and am staying till the end of the week to spend time with my friends because I don’t know if i’m leaving or staying
