Yes don’t take the 3.7 average as an indicator of the average gpa’s by school. Film School’s (example) GPA averages are nowhere near the 3.7 average mark.
I got an SGR May 2nd. I had a 3.92 gpa first semester and took 17 credits with 18 credits ongoing this semester. I applied for psychology/undeclared. I was a little disappointed that I got an SGR because it’s another waiting game 
Is it possible for people who send in an SGR to get their decision right away? Could I email my counselor to ask why I got an SGR or is that not recommended… Good luck to everyone still waiting for a decision!!
@dance11 most of the time people receive sgr because of these reasons: 1. Having too little credits like under 30 units 2. taking important major prereqs in spring 3. gpa is below or at average and they want to see how well you do in spring before making a decision.
Yes @pomeranian4rich is correct. I’m hoping this holds true for me because I’m at 57 units and not taking any prereqs in the spring.

Since I am a sophomore engineering applicant and just got an A in Calc 2 and an A- in Physics 1 should I just send my spring semester transcripts without them asking?

I just got an email from an admission counselor that I need to submit my official transcript… even though they initially said unofficial would be ok to be uploaded onto myYOUsc. Does anybody know what this means?
