2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@usctransferivc my counselor told me and then appeared on portal.

@usctransferivc After signing into your youSC, click on “Submit application documents” (right below “Check your application status”). If you see anything listed under “Required Documents”, then that material(s) is what’s being requested of you.

Still nothing…Marshall applicant

@Wafflepiezz sup waffleman. Don’t worry, you’ll hear this week or next.

@pomeranian4rich How do you know this week or next? This can go on until June lol

I’m going to lose my mind if I don’t hear back with something by next Saturday lol

@penntousc ikr seriously. Why do they take so long??

@penntousc Same, dude. Going to class just feels like a time-waster in between checking the mail every single day.

@cooljon525 I honestly have no clue, freshman applications are done, so it really doesn’t make any sense. I can understand why we would have to wait until May, since transfers have always had to wait until May, but the decisions this year are being released A LOT more sporadically than last year. At least last year they came out in clusters, so there was less of a tease. Now I hear about one or two people getting accepted to Marshall every (or every other) day and it drives me crazy when I don’t see anything new on my portal lol

@penntousc You would at least think that there would be more SGRs going out or something. I don’t know, maybe USC is doing a character building exercise by making us all learn how to be patient, cause they’re really testing me at this point.

@usc2563 exactly, I definitely expected to receive an SGR by now, but DEFINITELY by next week. Last year in the 3rd week of April there were a large number of SGRs and some acceptances, but I haven’t seen more than 1-3 people receive an SGR or acceptance in the same day this year. If I don’t receive a decision or an SGR by next week I’ll start worrying, because rejections come out at the end of May.

@penntousc I wonder if things are just going slower than usual or if there’s less of a variety of people posting on the forum this time around?

@usc2563 That’s what I was thinking! That there was less people posting on this thread even though it’s pretty active. I haven’t read the threads from past years, but maybe they had more people reading+responding?

Well, it’s just that this years thread is super repetitive so it’s longer than the actual content covered

@usc2563 I’m almost certain there’s more people on this year’s thread than last year… by May 3rd of last year, they were only on page 117 of the thread, we’re on page 300 lmao

Also, does anybody have Whitney Rollerson as a counselor?

@penntousc @Shuisazn @mellyjune But I feel like we’re being a little navel gaz-y when it comes to what we post? I don’t mean that in a bad way, because I’m definitely just posting about the same thing over and over again. I feel like new posters are showing up to say that they got accepted, more than to contribute to the discussion.

Basically I have no idea what any of this means, but at least discussing this aspect gives us a new part of the wait to talk about. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Okay my last post sounds a little dickish, because clearly we’re gonna talk about the same thing over and over again. I just want to say that I didn’t mean it in a bad way!

@usc2563 yeah that’s probably true

I just got an email saying my application didn’t include a letter of recommendation and to have a school instructor/advisor send one at end of day May 8. I replied saying that my Common App application has it, and they said they made a mistake and saw my application for 2016 and that they actually have received the letter. So I guess they’re starting to review apps! Annenberg applicant!
