@usc2563 i’m just speaking on experience. Im a senior at Leventhal. My profs. submitted their rec letters after I was accepted and I wrote my essays in less than a hour before the deadline. However, I had a 4.0
@HarvardJones no one has been rejected because Marshall doesn’t usually send rejections until the tail end of May. Even then there aren’t many rejections; I’d say most of the rejections are given to applicants who are SGRed but haven’t made any additional progress in the spring, and they get rejected anywhere between the beginning of June up until the middle of July

@osu2usc “Some academic departments at USC require academic recommendations, but in general we consider these optional. We will gladly consider any you wish to submit” Depending on your intended major and school, I know Annenberg, and School of Architecture requires one but some of the others don’t like Dornsife.

That’s wonderful! I’m a psychology major too and live over 40 miles from USC as well. I haven’t heard anything yet but fingers crossed! LOL
Do you guys think being a somewhat of a troll for those one word answer questions will help them admit me? I just wanted to stand out so for “Whats your theme song?” I Rick Rolled them. Hopefully they enjoy the inspiring music.
@usc2563 @TheWorrisomeGirl Did you guys get letters yet? I just found out that my noncustodial letter was approved and my financial aid is in review… so I called the financial aid to ask for more details and they said can’t tell me if I’m admitted and to keep my fingers crossed…
It just doesn’t make any sense why Fin aid office said they won’t process my waiver until a decision was met and then not tell me now…
I just want to find out already and I live in LA… still nothing in the mail. A few of my friends already got in… all were Marshalls non TPP. I applied for Price.
@arsenalforever I’m applying to SCA, so they use slideroom for a separate portion of the application and there were 3 required rec letters. I emailed my counselor but he is out of the office until tomorrow, I guess I’ll just wait until he responds.

You know now that I look at it, I see this SGR as kind of a good thing cause that means they didn’t just straight up reject me lol

@cooljon525 Not necessarily. When I had heard nothing, I called them and they said their June 1st deadline was more of a goal than a set deadline, lol. But it seems like my year (2015) was like the outlier in which USC failed to meet the deadline for some applicants. I heard back 5 days later, on June 6th, but that’s still past the deadline they set.
