@zettasyntax well i am assuming if it goes on that long, then its most likely a rejection right? Unless they sent u an SGR, i think there’s no chance of getting an acceptance on June 1st.
@mjstewart1224 i didn’t get an email. I constantly checked my portal to see if anything changes lol but to know if you got it, click on submit application documents and if they asked for your transcripts under “required documents” then thats a SGR
Ok, I’ll keep checking my portal daily.
@Student7321 Oh god, those “quick takes” were ridiculous. “Hashtag to describe yourself”? Really?
I think they’re just a way for the admissions folks to entertain themselves while they’re sifting through x-hundred applications. I picked “A Touch of Grey” by The Grateful Dead for my theme song – my favorite line is “Kid can’t read at seventeen/ the words he knows are all obscene.” Not to be taken as an indicator of my intellectual capacity.
For my “three words to describe yourself,” I put “[Firstname]”, “[Middlename]”, “[Lastname]”.
Hmm So when they ask you for your spring grades, what if you don’t have them yet? For example, I wont have mine for another 3-4 weeks. What do i do?
@cooljon525 Usually yes. The rejections are usually the last decisions that go out. However, I was accepted but it was just an uncharacteristically late decision because I had gotten an SGR in late April the year before when I was rejected.
@jae2017 I was waiting for somebody to mention that topic, lol. To me USC OASIS seems so outdated. I wouldn’t be surprised if the STARS thing still works. I guess @pomeranian4rich can’t tell anymore since he’s already been accepted, but maybe if anybody is feeling curious and hasn’t been accepted, they can try it out. If anything though, it’s just more worrying for a trick that lets you know you were accepted 1-2 days before you’d find out otherwise.
@penntousc Dope song.
Hi. I was a transfer student last year and lived in the Lorenzo this year. For those that are admitted and don’t have student housing or don’t want to live in the dorm, I have a lease that I need someone to take over from August 2017- July 2018. Towards the end, there won’t be any dorms available for transfer students. Lorenzo is a great place for students at USC because it is within walking distance and there is a shuttle every 15 min. Please message me for inquiry. The rent is $969 and comes with free parking, completely furnished, and utility is included.
@tankle104 I called the admissions office earlier today and they said that you can send them once your done with the semester
that’s pretty messed up that they usually send rejections last -___- those should go out first!!!
Thank you @elokinikole14 I hope everyone gets in, USC is a great place. So where is everyone transferring from? might as well chat just to pass the time until every their fate!
Why USC gotta be so ruthless, if only they were like the UCs, and let us know by end of April.
Hey guys, I was just wondering, on the submitting required documents and info, I should be looking at the 2017-2018 school year section if I applied this year right?
I cannot believe it! My mom just called me on the phone crying because she received my acceptance letter in the mail! I am an econ major for anyone that is wondering (dornsife)!! Literally have been checking my portal all day to see if there was anything. So happy !!!
@cassidylynnn congrats! If you don’t mind, post in here once you put your stats on the stats thread, I picked Econ as my 2nd choice so it’d be good to see what you completed!
@cassidylynnn Congrats! That’s fantastic news!
Received a SGR today! Now just need to stay motivated for the next two weeks. Good luck to everyone!
@penntousc just posted it all on the stats thread!
Do they ALWAYS ask transfer students for SGR? or do sometimes they just outright accept them?
Have any Annenberg decisions been sent out?
