@elokinikole14 im poli sci too!
@delzzz321 yay I’m not alone! haha have you heard back from usc yet?
@sabkam I have only taken two semesters of a foreign language while in college. My college does not offer past the third semester for foreign language, and only offers the third level every other semester so there is not much I can do there, but I don’t think it will affect anything as far as the requirement goes.
@sabkam One of my letters of rec is from my foreign language professor whom I did the two semesters with if that counts for anything
does anyone else have the option that says “click here to submit mid year grades online”? once i click on check application status, it shows this.
lol nvm its gone now.
@sabkam If your single C kills you, then my C’s will kill me. I have a 3.7 cum GPA and the C’s were not in any classes related to my major, for whatever that’s worth. I’ve gotten all A’s with the exception of 1 B and 2 C’s. One C was in an upper level composition course–the professor was a killer grader, but oh well. My second C will be this semester in my Economic Statistics class (not required by USC but needed it to fulfill the IGETC for UC transfer). In all of my polisci and econ courses that are most pertinent to my major I’ve received all A’s. Fingers crossed for the both of us!
@elokinikole14 I got an SGR last Friday, but I kinda expected that bc I’m a sophomore applicant. Wbu?!
I emailed my admissions counselor and they said that if there was any additional information I wanted to be considered in my application to send it in. Do you think that along with my jobs that are relevant to my major and career path, I should include an explanation of why I was not able to complete some of my major’s pre-reqs? I’m a sophomore applicant and have finished 5 (possibly 1 or 2 more) GEs
Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking on this page for a while now, I am a incoming sophomore Dornslife applicant and I just received an SGR. I had a 4.0 last semester and am hoping to keep that gpa by the end of this spring term. However, I might end up with a B in one of my GE classes and was just wondering if that would make a large impact on my admission.
If it makes any difference, I will have 31 units completed by the end of this semester.
Hey I found out today by mail I got into Price ( posted stats in other forum) and nothing has been updated or emailed to me except my financial aid portal says it’s in review. Do transfer merit scholarship winners find out when they get their acceptance packet or do they find out at a later date? I’m hoping I still have a chance for this…
Still have no idea what my financial aid is so I’m a bit nervous about that.
If I don’t get an SGR by the end of second week of may is it most likely gonna be a rejection? Also some others from my cc have heard back with SGRs and I haven’t, does this mean anything?
@delzzz321 I applied as an incoming junior and I got an SGR yesterday
does getting your financial aid info mean you’re in? it does give me my major and student id…
@Skepta I wouldn’t say it means a rejection for sure, I think some people will hear back after next week. Personally, if I don’t hear back by the end of next week, I’ll begin to worry… as for now, I’m just annoyed as hell lol
@delzzz321 Thanks for posting that info. I’ll be an incoming junior to Dornsife too and I was rather hoping I could avoid the possibility of receiving an SGR, but apparently not
@josh2633 you’re in! congrats! if you wouldn’t mind, it’d be helpful if you could post your major, stats and other info in the stats thread below! thanks!
@penntousc i just did! i most likely will not be attending though due to the lack of financial aid provided haha
@josh2633 did they offer you what you were “predicted” to get?
@josh2633 hey did they email you your financial aid or did u check the status under the tab on yousc
