Does the fact that I fulfilled my university’s writing requirement through IB examination (which is not transferable to USC) affect my chances into Viterbi?
@Wafflepiezz I’m a super Sophomore with 57 units by the end of spring.

@gatsby22 – it’s definitely strange how one counselor will say something different from another, I guess my general question was why would a financial aid summary be provided for students who may not even be accepted, but whoever I was talking to on the phone shied away from the question and gave me a very general answer by saying it the two offices don’t work together. But, it definitely seems like a lot of work to put into students who may not even be accepted? Hoping for the best for all of us, I need to stop looking into minor things and extrapolating possibilities lol
The only thing I’d say at this point is that if you were pretty confident in your application and your chances of being admitted a few months ago, hold onto that confidence. They obviously aren’t done sending out decisions yet, so until you see a rejection on your portal, just try to wait it out. There’s a lot of qualified applicants who have still not heard back yet, and we’ve still got 26 days to go. Definitely don’t give up yet!
Accepted!!! They didn’t send me email. I got it when I checked my portal.
hey guys, sooo I mentioned earlier that I got a SGR a few days ago and it just updated my portal. Under my messages is a letter attached and towards the end it states, “We expect to receive your spring grades as soon as they become available. If we do not receive them by June 30, we will be unable to consider you for admission.” And I called the admissions office at my school and even though I finish the semester by May 19th, my grades won’t be posted until a week after and the office said that it wont’t be on my official transcript in 2-4 weeks and that’s when I could send in my final transcript to USC. However, if I send it by then, I’m scared that they’ll receive it past June 30 and I’d be automatically rejected

Haven’t been entirely active on this thread- has anyone been admitted to Viterbi yet? I checked the results only thread and didn’t see anyone (as of a few days ago).
Don’t lose hope guys, I know it can feel like an eternity waiting, but if you have a solid app and good stats you should not worry so much. It 's out of your control and there is only so much you can do! Good luck

My primary worry is that I won’t be getting an SGR because I finished my spring term about two weeks ago and when I asked, my USC advisor told me that I could send my final transcript to them because any bit of information helps. I’m not sure whether that’s a good sign or a bad sign, but I DO know that at this point, it’ll either be a rejection or an acceptance for me.

Man, the average GPA for admittance to Marshall has to be over 3.8. Film school or something has to tip the scale to the 3.7 overall acceptance GPA lol

@pomeranian4rich do we have to take a math placement test for business? It seems like we’re required to take it regardless of our completion of Math 118 equivalent, but I’m still unsure. The info is found under their orientation website, and under the before orientation tab.
