anyone received sgr from viterbi today? @itslife123
@Wafflepiezz yes, I will be transferring in as a sophomore!
@alienman1234 I don’t know of any
I know it’s a bit early to be speaking of Viterbi considering there’s be like virtually no decisions, but I’d like to recommend the cross-listed class Programming Graphical User Interfaces. It’s been my favorite CS class thus far. The TAs are awesome too. I just got extra credit for a homework assignment because I made my animation reference a Dead or Alive song, lol. Made me smile
@zettasyntax You mean the one Dead or Alive song everyone knows?
Thanks for reminding me I have programming homework to finish.
Please Viterbi release decisions soon. I can’t wait any longer
@Skepta When we all get accepted to Viterbi, I think we will all cry tears of joy
@itslife123 That’d be a dream come true! I remember there being a lot of talk about the pre-reqs. Is Viterbi strict on its requirements for the pre-reqs in humanities? I’ve only taken one humanities course (& 2 college composition class, like every freshmen), so that had me worried. I’m set when it comes to the science/lab and math classes though.
@AGoodFloridian They don’t care about GE’s at all, they just expect you to fill your schedule with G.E’s if you have the time. As long as you did Math up to Calc 2 and 2 semesters of Lab Based science, you should be good. The more math and science, the more competitive.
@Amaryllis85 Yup, haha. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if most people just know it because of Ke$ha. Anyway, I really had such a big smile when the TA wrote this as the feedback “extra credit points for making it spin right round, lol”. Very silly, but made my day
Did anyone else just get an email from USC about applying for the USC Topping scholarship?
So USC just emailed me in regards to apply for a scholarship. Is this a good sign or am I reading too much into it?
@tankle104 I did
@SMCSociology Hmm maybe they just send it to everyone. At the bottom it does say “Please note that our selection process runs concurrently and separately from the USC admission process. However, NTSAF applicants must be admitted to USC for consideration for our scholarship. Applicants must apply not knowing if he/she has been admitted to USC at that time. Recipients may only be considered at the time of admission; continuing USC students are not eligible to apply.”
Also got the same scholarship email, looks like they sent it out at the same time for everyone.
I just got this email from USC did EVERYONE get it?
As a 2017-2018 USC applicant, you have a wonderful opportunity to assist in funding your education at USC. The USC Norman Topping Student Aid Fund (NTSAF) is a unique scholarship program that provides tuition assistance, academic development, community service programs, and exceptional funding opportunities to entering USC students…
no^^
Nope didn’t get.
I hope this email is a good sign…
I got one. They’ve most likely sent it to everyone. I’d love to apply but I don’t think I’d be able to get 2 recs.
