I really question the person who got Viterbi (just a tad skeptical), after saying he got accepted he just dissapeared out of the blue LOL. If you see this please give us some more info XD
@usc2563 yeah it definitely is weird sending it out so late…
I don’t know decisions seemed to be getting a lot faster this year at the beginning, but it slowed down and decisions are coming out less regularly and in smaller, inconsistent batches than last year… Looks like they are a wee behind in pace this year (but I mean there’s still a month left though so its not like they are really behind since a good number of people have heard back with acceptances and SGRs, just in smaller, random batches)
@mellyjune Ya I want to say to everyone be patient, but I can’t say that when I’m stalking the mailman everyday :’)
Anyone have any idea how many Marshall applicants have heard back already? Still waiting on any sort of notice…
@nayu917 Quite a bit. However, I would wait till May 15th (friends last year got in around then), anytime after that maybe you should be alittle worried, but for now just stay postitve!
@itslife123 I know… I try to be patient but its hard when you have no idea whats going on, so I go through flashes of confidence, oh you know its fine, I just have to wait because I have the grades and I thought my essays were good, etc… and then I start freaking out that I haven’t heard back yet and feel sure that I’ve gotten rejected hah…
All in all, the wait has been hard on all of us… we just gotta hang in there a little while longer because its almost over…
OMG @mellyjune are you me?! I guess we aren’t the only ones who go through this emotional rollercoaster.
@itslife123 its definitely a rollercoaster all right, nausea and all hahaha
but its ok! Only a few more loops and drops ahead. Hopefully we all make it out as Trojans!
@itslife123 Sigh… I thought I was a pretty strong applicant too. I expected at least a SGR by now… though some of my friends attending now got their SGRs late in May last year. It’s so stressful not knowing anything at all. I just want to know ASAP so I can plan ahead, move on if I need to…
Don’t worry guys, nothing can be worse than doing the whole application and then being told that they weren’t looking for any transfers this year…//cough scripps cough//
I’m with all of you on this. I nearly went to go scour my app for typos and was like no. Don’t do it. Noooooope.
@Shuisazn That sorta happened to me with Carnegie Mellon last year with the waiting list. Got put on the priority waiting list and then got notified they weren’t taking anyone off smh
I got the email. Checked through old emails and I did get the same one last year in late January.
wow thats fucked up that scripps and CMU did that, but I guess their also not really known as schools that take in a lot of transfers. Lmao also @itslife123 and @mellyjune, can hella relate to the rollercoaster thing. Like some weeks I feel confident then the next I feel like surely a rejection is coming. Its just been amplified recently after May. It especially hits me b4 i go to sleep, keep thinking about it for like an hour lool.
@marcollege17 i really hope they’re not as selective as the other schools…as for population size, I know that there are quite a lot of students affiliated with the Annenberg school, but again, I’m not sure about its size compared to the other schools:/ I just need answers. I need at least my SGR notification for reassurance but would surely love an acceptance box in the mail some time soon…like now lol
I wonder if it’s bad that my counselor hasn’t replied to me since Wednesday? I’m not sure if she’s busy with admissions work or if she’s lost interest and decided that it isn’t worth looking at my application anymore LOL but I could be overthinking it ;;
@Shuisazn take a deep breath. It’s a very busy time for them.
Did everyone get the email about the topping scholarship?
you know how Eminem feels before the first rap battle in 8 mile? I feel like that everyday now
@pomeranian4rich my friend at Marshall just told me the same thing! He said we should not have to take it if we’ve taken Math 118. I have no idea why the orientation website says business students need to take a math placement test regardless of previous coursework. If we do, I need to brush up on math, it’s been awhile lol. Anyways, I submitted the enrollment deposit, now I’m waiting for it to process so I can enroll into orientation and get my USC email :)>- . I’m going to orientation on July 14th
