@itslife123 We can claim this impromptu movie discussion is Trojan alumni centric. Still on topic.
I’ve just received my Spring grades, and happy to say that even with a fully loaded 19 credit semester with possibly the hardest classes my CC has, I still managed to keep dat 4.0 :D/
I just felt compelled, so I sent my transcripts on over to USC, despite not being asked. It begs the question:
Proactive or unnecessary?
Since I’ve just finished my 2nd semester, I initially only had 1 semester of grades to show them. I sent them my mid-term report when that was available but…doesn’t beat the real thing.
Was it the right move? I’m bound to receive an SGR anyways, I just saved them the trouble.
Hey guys so my semester ends June 15 and they usually take 2 weeks to process everything and release it to us (grades)…I’m wondering what I could do just in case it goes over the deadline of june 30 lol and what the fastest option is to send grades.
@nayu917 @tankle104 Marshall applicant, still no decision yet either don’t worry ^#(^
LOL @AGoodFloridian I wish I could do that. Alittle Proactive, but that’s the Trojan Spirit, it shouldn’t be an issue
@AGoodFloridian I wouldn’t say it was proactive, because admissions counselors don’t particularly enjoy having extra material to go through that they didn’t ask for but I wouldn’t go as far to say it was unnecessary because its just a transcript, it doesn’t add that much reading material to their desks and it is definitely something that is impressive. Congrats on the 4.0!
My final semester grades probably won’t come out until early June… so I envy that your school year is over and you were able to at least do something hahaha I’m just going a wee bit stir crazy just sitting here twiddling my thumbs… haha Hopefully we both hear back soon with good news!
@tc20498 I’m sure it’s because all the counselor’s are super busy right now that’s why. And yeah that is weird, I thought it was regional too! Guess not haha. Well I hope she replies to us soon! If not, just call USC and ask.
The mid-year grades glitched popped up again lol but this time in a different spot wat… S G R ?
My youSC portal now thinks I’m a freshman w t f
The link now says: https://you.usc.edu/applicant-freshman/
@nayu917 That’s weird… I don’t see the mid-year glitch anywhere on my portal and my link is still applicant-transfer. I’ve never even looked at the link until now.
@pomeranian4rich I used to go to PCC. I recently transferred to University of La Verne, I really wanted to transfer to USC last semester but some things happened and I couldnt get my app in. I have a 3.8-3.9 over the last 2 years or so. Getting ready to rap up another semester of 4.0
I really want to double major in Business Administration and Economics (USC has some great Economics programs that also include Finance, that is my real goal). So we will see! Honestly I don’t really expect to be accepted because I am pretty close to completing my Business admin degree but I figured I would try anyways. I will most likely just graduate and then head straight to Graduate school if I can, which I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to. I have a lot of work experience and good letters of recommendation.
@mellyjune It says I’m a freshman applicant now… the whole layout of the portal changed for me. Now there are no links to Transfer Days and the youSC url is different…
can somebody please help me out…Vanderbilt or USC. which school would you pick?
I’m so confused. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??
@srubien Depends on the major. I’d choose what’s more affordable and what suits myself better. Have you visited both places?
@srubien Lemme give you an honest BIASED answer, USC. All the way <3
@nayu917 what are the new links? Are they still for applicants?
But its weird because who would be a freshman applicant…? Because you can only apply as a senior in high school as a first year? but those have already been released, or transfer in later as a sophomore or junior…
Perhaps its a glitch? Its weird that it doesn’t show up for me though, because it means its not a glitch that is showing up through the entire system for everyone. I don’t know what it means…
@mellyjune I know its a glitch but its the biggest glitch I’ve seen so far. The portal now looks as if it would if I was a freshman applicant…
@srubien yeah I would def say it depends on your Major, what is your major?
@nayu917 I would just leave it and then call the office if it stays that way for a long time
