2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Looking at past threads, I’ve seen a good amount of successful appeals! My friend also got in through appeal. With the super high tuition and housing situation, I think a lot of people withdraw their admissions after they receive their financial aid package. Also doesn’t hurt to try!

@penntousc that’s a good plan. There are a bunch of business affiliated clubs at SC so there will like minded and talented people to possibly work with. We need to rub elbows at orientation! A cousin of mine who graduated from Marshall worked for the Clippers, later moved to New Orleans to work for the Saints, and now he works in the bay area with the 49ers. I’m sure he has a few leads.

@BusinessBrah I was accepted on 5/3 and still have not received financial aid ~O)

@dvalenc7 If I don’t manage to come up with some crazy billion dollar startup idea, working within the NFL/NFL organization would be my dream job. But yeah definitely, I’m sure I’ll see you at orientation!

@xenial Omg I’m also a biological sciences major…what was your GPA?

under required documents, a transcript request appeared but there’s nothing in application status or any e-mails… is that an SRG?

I’m TTP… I’m very heartbroken rn

Idk if I can get straight A’s this quarter… but my GPA met their requirements so I don’t know why they would wait so long to SRG me

Ayt Annenberg one more week

why is everyone so desperate for an SGR if anything should hope you DON’T get one

@forksinmybox Once you click the " check your application status" tab on the second paragraph it should discuss something about them requesting your spring grades. I think that confirms it’s an sgr

@uscdream19 I have no messages

@SmokedHam bc it’s a sign of soooooomething (lmao not really, even) and something is better than nothing. the theory of instant gratification is making the SGR now seem more appealing than acceptance on the 31st.

@forksinmybox if you have no messages then it’s probably just a request to resend one of your transcripts.

@usc2563 that’s weird because I sent 2 transcripts already and called to confirm before. I tried calling them now but I guess it’s some sort of USC holiday

@forksinmybox well, it is sort of a holiday, it’s USC commencement. :slight_smile:

@alienman1234 LOL, I find this question hilarious :’). OFC NOT! :’(

The transcript requests under requested documents need to be uploaded online. So does it mean we can just upload an unofficial transcript? Or should I send one official too?

@SmokedHam Not everyone gets accepted right away, SGR is like that halfway point from an acceptance. Ofc everyone wants to get accepted right away, but that doesn’t happen for everyone. I wouldn’t say people are desperate, I think people want to know that they’re not straight up rejected.

@shuisazn 3.8 ish

I have seen cases where people got an SGR, but then were sent acceptance letters before they sent in their grades haha I wonder why that happens.
