Hey can anyone help me out? I will be applying as an economics (Dornsife) major next year and I have questions about the foreign language requirement. Because I am applying to Dornsife, there are two hypothetical situations I have about the language requirement
If I have taken two years of Spanish in high school with A's would I fulfill the foreign language requirement when I apply to transfer or would I have to take any additional Spanish classes at my community college?
If I didn't have two years of Spanish in high school with A's would I need to take two Spanish classes - Spanish 101 and Spanish 102 in order to fulfill the foreign language requirement?
I’m a junior applicant and got an SGR May 6th. 3.89 GPA. Still have both Calc and Writing requirements in progress so that’s most likely why lol. Got SGR notification on portal and then letter in the mail. Got accepted to UCSB and Miami so far. I’m a sunny weather type guy.
@usc2563@forksinmybox - graduation. I was there watching my sister and it’s all wknd and I think Monday too. I talked to someone who said admissions staff is basiclally unavailable until it’s all over early next week
@uclatft My daughter applied to SCA for film. She also applied to UCLA tft. She got in, but not film. Did you get in there? No word yet from SCA…the director of admissions emailed her about a week ago asking for an unofficial transcript to verify she was taking certain classes. She is a junior transfer.
@eden97 I was dating a guy who went to USC earlier this semester, he said in March when he went to chose housing everything was basically full. I don’t know if they save room for transfers but I’d definitely look off campus.
Lol I got an e-mail saying my winter grades are missing but I sent them electronically twice and even called them to confirm they had arrived. I’m worried this might further delay an admission decision. Did you guys send your transcripts electronically or by mail?
@greenpotatoe We have the least amount of spots too. It’s competitive and admissions is complex, because every engineering applicant is so different in the classes they took and what not. I said this before but Marshall Applicants are easily decided because if you don’t have say Calc 1 or GE’s you’re pretty much out of the game. Viterbi is different in this sense.
@Mikeysky96 same! They emailed me a few days ago and asked for my current unofficial transcript to see if I have dropped any classes or not. That’s all I have heard so far, did you get an email like that? And what are your stats?
@jajules Ah what did your daughter get in for? I got an interview at UCLA for tft, but I didn’t get in So I’m trying not to get my hopes up for USC, but I only applied to these two schools so I’m crossing my fingers. I got the email for the transcript too. What are your daughter’s stats?
