How many of you guys completed ALL of the GE requirements? I’ve completed every single one except the physical science. My cc hasn’t offered the outlined course equivalencies for USC’s physical science requirement in several semesters. Will this hurt my chances as a junior applicant?
@uclatft She got into UCLA for Comp Lit, but has her heart set on film (she could minor in it there). She also applied to LMU film (still waiting on them as well). She is finishing up 60+ credits at SMC now in their scholars program and has a 4.0. We thought it was a positive sign to get that email request - it wasn’t a NO! Crossing our fingers too! I feel bad for all on this thread having to wait so long. Crazy!
It seems like Viterbi has its own admission process and requirements so I am not surprised they announce decision later than other schools. Viterbi wants applicants to take major-related classes as many as they can so it’s not an easy thing to review the applications.
Last year Viterbi started sending out admission on the 18th. Maybe they’ll start on 5/17 this year because last year 5/18 was a Wednesday. Only 5 more days!
Does anyone know/have an estimate when the Keck School of Medicine release their decisions?
@uscbabe1 I wouldn’t worry since USC is more lenient than other school with fulfilling GE’s and you only have one missing which is nothing.
Does Marshall applicant need calc 1? Im transferring from a 4 yr oos uni and the only math class they offer for business majors is Calc for Business and Econ. Will this hurt my chance of getting in?
Checked my portal today and got an SGR… makes sense though since this semseter meets my credit requirement lol. I’ll be notified hopefully by mid-July they say! I’ll cry if I wait that long and get rejected

I got my unofficial transcript to my counselor before a SGR. Two days later, my acceptance went out.
Does anybody know if I absolutely have to have 48 credits to transfer into sca film production?
I will apply for fall 2018 for film production and am a senior going to a cc what courses should I take?
@xtx237 I’d recommend emailing the admission counselor at USC that is assigned to you, I’ve seen hardly any SCA applicants on here and since a huge part of the admission process is a project submission/portfolio, those of us with more academic majors wouldn’t be able to give you an accurate answer

@malpais The person on the 18th was Spring Grade Requested and didn’t end up getting in Viterbi (got in Dornsife). I think the true Wave starts on the 23rd.

This is the earliest admission I saw. His package was postmarked on the 18th. He lived in Chicago and he received it on 5/20.
So they started sending out packages on the 18th and I guess last year people in SoCal could possibly receive their packages as early as the 19th?
