2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

hey everyone. I’m a Marshall applicant looking for a fall 2017 decision. I’m at a 3.6 GPA but the thing i think will help is that I’m a veteran so both my essays were based on my experiences in the army. anyone on here talked to a vet going to usc

Just got an SGR from USC. Dated for 5/13/17. Junior Dornsife Applicant

For future applicants! I didnt get a SGR but still got accepted and it was a late acceptance so have hope :slight_smile:

Does anyone know how someone can submit their SGR? I live in a 3rd world country where mail is hard to receive :confused:

Mean avg for my class is 59%, my linear teacher is truly a ****. Luckily I have a 79 but I feel so bad cuz other student’s admissions are on the line and can’t withdraw. Sad day in the SMC math department,

For the people who have gotten in, where are you guys living?

@penntousc I’ll invite you on Facebook. You do need to verify your USC email to join in and see the posts.

@dvalenc7 ok thanks

@penntousc After you verify your email, you will have access to the housing page found in “Groups” on the USC page

@dvalenc7 ok cool

@dvalenc7 for some reason the email isn’t sending, checked spam too and tried it like 10 times lol

@penntousc I got mine to work by making my USC email my primary email for Facebook. You can do that under the settings. Then attempt to rejoin

@dvalenc7 ok I’ll try that

@dvalenc7 idk, for some reason nothing is sending to my USC email… tried to change the email but I have to confirm that too, and I’m not receiving the confirmation code

@JaytotheB Dude I haven’t seen one veteran being rejected by USC. You’re solid.

@OCCtoUSC Nah WRIT 340 for business majors are one of the first classes to be filled. You’re prolly gonna have to take some shit classes the first semester. Some students just decide to go during Spring semester cause of this.

@HarvardJones What are the chances I’m able to snag accounting 1 and macro/micro econ first semester? I assume they’ll be huge lectures, but I haven’t taken any business related classes yet (except for calc) so I’ll probably be with a lot of freshman my first year there

@penntousc the only classes open for accounting 1 and micro/macros are from 8am-10am. Also the professors that’s available for those classes are kinda crap. Calc isn’t used in any of the classes.

@HarvardJones lol that sucks then, guess I’ll just have to stick it out for the first semester. I’m in a weird position because I got in as a sophomore, but I’ve only taken GEs, the calc requirement, and the writing requirement.

Quick question, I’ve been accepted into UCLA and still waiting on USC to make a final decision. In terms of living near campus, does the USC area have cheaper rent compared to living in Westwood? Or is it roughly the same?
