2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

So I’ve decided to stay at my current school no matter what decision I get from USC, I had to really weigh the pros and cons. But I ultimately came to the conclusion that I won’t be able to finish my intended major in 2 years at USC. So with that, I still wish you guys all the best of luck and hope you all get in! :slight_smile:

@bmannn10 I heard you’ll get your acceptance by mail way before they even update the portal

@marcollege17 You applied under sociology?

@stahboy good luck at Cornell!

Does anyone know whether the financial aid at USC is consistent? (assume that the income doesn’t change too much). I know some private schools give admitted students a pretty good aid for the first year as a bait, and then reduce the aid greatly in the following years.

@stahboy Dawh :frowning: But at the same time, I’m sure you had very solid reasoning to do so. You thought over it and found it would be wiser to stay where you are- it took a lot of maturity to do that and like the rest of us, I wish you the best at Cornell!

@stahboy You’re at Cornell? Hahahhaa I thought I was the only one. What major are you?

@itslife123 any news from viterbi?

@malpais : It is consistent as long as you or your parents don’t have drastic swings in income or networth. Every year you must fill out the CSS Profile in addition to the FAFSA. If you and/or your parents expect to have similar income, you will receive the same type of financial aid for every year. You are allotted 5 years of financial aid eligibility before they stop providing it (and even then you can reapply under different programs).

USC was very generous and consistent with my financial aid for my entire time as an undergrad.

Cornell is an ivy university, cant go wrong with that tbh lol

super salty i got rejected to cornell

@stahboy good luck on your future cs endeavors at Cornell!

Hello all!
I’ve just received news from other classmates who got into Dornsife: Sociology, over the weekend. Both very strong applicants. Not familiar with the thread, so I’ll doubt they’ll post their stats. At this point I’ve gotten over my possible rejection and decided to move on with my life as I already weighed out the pros and cons. Best of luck to all of you. Maybe USC for my masters… #FightOn :)>-

For those of you who have decided to respectfully decline Usc can you guys please reject their SIR for people like me with the sgr :,)

I’m currently watching Semi Pro and praying to god that they bring back Will Ferrell for commencement in 2020 lol

@bmannn10 sociology as my second major

We still have 1/2 of the month of May remaining guys stop being such downers!

80% of decisions on here from years prior seem to have been released in the final week of May.

@Pantafootball if I recall SGR isnt a waitlist and if u get accepted, u would start in spring if fall was filled up.

@usc4ever I’m aware of that but depending on the amount of people they enroll it could possibly mean more admits for those who got sgr
