2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@lelmemes I’m a CS major. What major are you?

@alienman1234 Someone from SMC got an SGR from Viterbi a few days back. And @malpais Says 18th and onward are the days we should be looking at.

@itslife123 is the 18th date for viterbi?

Does anyone know if housing has already filled up. I can’t SIR until later this week due to financial constraints. But i need somewhere to live until I move into the sorority house spring semester :-/

@swaggyb22 Not necessarily but it started on the 18th last year. But most hear back by the 23rd.

hi I applied to transfer as a junior for SCA and Im part of the TTP and received a SGR (trying to transfer from UCR). just wondering if anyone has heard from SCA yet or if anyones part of the TTP as well? also Im going insane having to wait til july!

@cassidylynnn I’m trying the figure out the same thing, I talked to someone from the housing department and they said that on campus housing decisions for transfers won’t begin being released until June. Last year, one of the guys that was accepted in April didn’t get accepted in on campus housing until June 20th; granted, I don’t know when he filled out the application, and they may give sophomore transfers priority since they guarantee current freshman and sophomore students on campus housing, but it’s still a pretty long wait considering how critical housing is. I’d recommend joining the housing group on USC’s facebook page, I’ve seen a handful of people looking to sublease their rooms/apartments in the fall semester, and that seems like it’d be exactly what you’re looking for.

@stahboy Good luck brother!

@penntousc I’m a sophomore applicant applying to Dornsife as a biology major!

@Skepta Yup, I am! I’m like a super sophomore/baby junior bc I have just under 60 units completed sigh

@uscbabe1 Thank you for saying that about May 18th omg; it relieved my stress a little bit T_T <3

@usctransferttp I’m not TTP, but I’m surprised that you got an SGR since you’re on TTP…but I’m sure you’ll be fine!

@grace2622 congrats on the acceptance

@Shuisazn Super Sophomores ftw. And btw 64 is junior status. But we’re pretty much Premature Juniors lmfaoo

i don’t think people should just give up on USC only because they haven’t received a decision. They should really think about how bad they wanted to go to USC if they’re willing to just give up right before a decision. USC is my dream school so ill wait and if i get rejected ill reapply next year and the next and the next. Ill love USC no matter what

.

@itslife123 It’s like being a pre teen all over again LMAO

Also, does USC accept classes I take in Summer '17 for transfer credit? I was wondering if I should take a foreign language class (since I don’t have any completed now) or not :o (Of course, this is just in case I get in; if not, I’ll be prepping to apply to UCs next year LOL)

I know alot of friends who commited to UCLA. Watch USC accept these people and not me. Bruh.

@Shuisazn I’m not well informed about foreign language classes, but I know you can take Summer Classes as long as they aren’t majo pre-req classes for admissions.

@stahboy I am CS as well in a&s. Are you an incoming junior?

@JaytotheB I haven’t given up on receiving a decision tbh (like I’d give up anything to go to USC); I’m just super nervous and apprehensive rn

how much do they care about an upward trend on grades if anyone knows

@Shuisazn Apprehenisve is an understatment to how I really feel.
