2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

Anyone read the book “All quite on the western front” in high school? lol I should just respond with the title of that book when someone asks if I heard back from USC yet.

Marshall applicant…feels like everybody else already got a decision or SGR back. Going to just stop checking for a week and brace for the worse next week

For the accepted: I was accepted on 5/6 and just received my financial aid summary today.

Hey, question for anyone who’s gotten a SGR, I arranged to have my grades sent as soon as they’re finalized, which should be later this week. Should I email admissions and be like “hey just wanted to follow up by letting you know that I’ve arranged to have my grades sent” or is that weird and clingy

@Skepta my lit class did, however, I did not. Probably the main reason I’m here as a transfer hahahaha

that terrible feeling when you get accepted to Marshall, but you look at financial aid and they give you nothing… #$72k a year… bruhhh

Does anyone know what the stars access or oasis access means. I’m looking back at threads from previous years and there appears to be correlation between acceptance and having “your stars report” updated

@uscdream19 I think that someone mentioned OASIS trick is dead.

@usc2563 oh okay.how about the stars report?

How was your guys financial aid? I was expecting a lot more aid… My parents make 27,000 a year and I was left with an estimated net cost of 18,966. That’s a lot of money…

@boybye There must have been something else factored in that produced that result. My parents make something similar to that and USC’s NPC gives back practically a full ride, with some loan component.

Wait what???thats insane @boybye

@AGoodFloridian The only thing I can think of is my parents “business” which is my dad’s truck. They had to file it as a business because of my dads employer lawsuit (long story). I’m not sure if that would have something to do with it. How would I go about appealing my aid?

@to20498, Congrats!! You asked about SGRs somewhere. I got a WGR in early April, and nothing after that.

So tomorrow is the big day for Viterbi or what?

to my fellow norcal folks, out of the 8,330 transfer applicants, 1900 are from norcal which may explain the wait.

@boybye Since room and board is estimated at 15000, I think you were covered 3000 short of the full tuition. And USC doesn’t cover people’s room and board. So I’m wondering how much appealing will do :frowning:

Still haven’t heard back from financial aid. Looks like people are hearing back already though which is a good sign.

also to those who have been accepted, we would greatly appreciate it if you could post your stats! thanks in advance.

@itslife123 an appeal can help more than it may seem, I got 61k because my mom hadn’t made anything, so I think that’s the max
