Yeah getting my tuition covered would be more than enough for me! My EFC is at $9k though.
@pantafootball2 yeah that’s the main thing. Everything else is controllable unless you gotta get certain books full price because they don’t have them cheap

@uscdream19 I don’t think you’d leave a negative mark on your application whatsoever (they understand that we’re stressed out!). However, I’m not sure they’d be able to tell you anything beyond “You’ll know before June 1st.”
@uscdream19 Yeah I’m a junior applicant too. I’ll have ~70 units after this semester with a 3.8 and I didn’t get an SGR yet either. I’m guessing it’ll either be a straight acceptance/rejection for me.

Accepted as a transfer from a CCC to SCA for Film and Television Production yesterday, May 17th! Woke up in the morning around 9AM, checked the MyUSPS app on my phone, and it said a package was coming from University of Southern California!
At that point I was excited and nervous, and it was shipped at 10PM the night before (May 16th). The package was labeled as “Priority Mail,” which should have calmed me down (because their acceptance boxes ARE labeled as priority mail when they arrive), but I kept thinking “What if it’s just a rejection letter with a Priority Mail tracking number? And maybe that’s why it was under the “Packages” section on the app?” However, I saw the mail lady at 11:15AM, and she had my acceptance box in her hands!
I was admitted with 52 units accomplished at the end of this Spring. I was contacted for winter grades on April 28th through an email from the portal, in which I uploaded an Unofficial Transcript that same day and electronically had my community college send the school my Official Transcript once again - that same day.
On the afternoon of May 4th, I was emailed by the Director of Admissions at SCA specifically, and she asked me to send her my Unofficial Transcript to confirm if I’m enrolled in Spring at my community college, as well as my current courses in progress and my unit count. She asked me to send this to her by May 9th, so I had about roughly five days. Luckily, I still had my Unofficial at home, so I sent it to her within the hour, and two weeks later - accepted! I emailed her again to confirm she received my transcript since she never emailed me back, but I just ended up receiving the acceptance.
My GPA when I applied in February was 3.893, but is now a 3.737 with winter grades (that’s how I believe I was admitted), and I’m hoping it will be at a solid 3.80 by the end of Spring.
The only condition toward not having my admission offer rescinded is that I have to obtain a 3.5 GPA for this Spring semester at my college, and I can not get any lower than a C - which I’ve never even gotten.
Although I’m very excited considering both UCLA (boooo) and Loyola Marymount rejected me in Film. Loyola rejected me in Film, but said they still want me to “continue my studies” with them. However, my dream school, USC, accepted me… I think that really means that it was meant to be!

@AGoodFloridian If you’re able to take all those classes for fall, and pass all of them, I personally think you’re wasting your time going to school.
