for anyone wondering, i was accepted on Tuesday (5/16) and received my financial aid yesterday (5/20). i emailed them on Thursday night, basically asking when i expect to receive my package because i would like to know what it is before i submit my enrollment deposit. they responded on Friday saying “please allow 5-7 business days after the day you received your package” – but then i received it the next day! and i think that’s because i emailed them. soo if anyone wants their package sooner than later, it may help to give them a call or send an email so they know you’re waiting and so they can push your documents through/finalize your package!
Hey. Congrats to everyone that has been accepted thus far! I am a dornsife applicant (Sociology) and still have not heard anything back in regards to admission. USC is my top choice; however, I thinking is may be time to SIR to another school. What do you all think?
Also, does anyone have Bruce Grier as a counselor? If so, have you heard anything back?
Lastly, is anyone else financial aid page glitching when checking the status? When checking financial aid for 2017-2018 and page pops up then immediately changes to a different screen.

you know rent in the bay area is too high when LA rent rates seem reasonable.

@SMCSociology I am a sociology major and USC was and still is my top choice. But I already committed to LMU. I had a back up plan when I started feeling like a weaker applicant… but anyways even if decisions go out until June 1st, it’s nice to know we’re all going somewhere new. I would give up all my acceptances and trade them in for a USC one though. Lol
@darlenez I dont know much about LMU, but one of my friends from hs currently goes to there for sociology, and apparently LMU has one of the top sociology/anthropology programs, its ranked above ucla and sd in that deparment. She chose LMU over both those colleges for the program at lmu (plus scholarships), so good choice!
i’m so sad, there’s going to be no housing space available for transfer students. now, all i want to know is if I have been accepted or not. housing is just so expensive and not guaranteed. is anyone else on the same boat? i just want to know if i got in even though i know i wont be able to
@penntousc My mom pays ~$660 for the mortgage on our house, so I couldn’t even find the cheapest Lorenzo rate to be reasonable, haha 
@zettasyntax I can definitely understand that, at this point I don’t even care too much about rent price as long as it’s below $1,500, I just want to live somewhere that’s a short bike ride or walk from campus (since I have a bad feeling I won’t get on campus housing) and I want the place to not have infestations or broken appliances lol
ACCEPTED USC MARSHALL, FINALLY. 3.9 GPA JUNIOR TRANSFER, FINISHED 3 GES.
Trying to prepare for fall classes in case I don’t get in this time around and need to try again — if I finish all GEs at my four year university, does that mean I’ll still have to finish 2 at USC? Also are you able to finish USC’s WRIT 150 at your own university? On their transfer planning guide for my school it says WRIT 150 needs to be finished at USC?

@Skepta I’ve been a little skeptical about my decision since it was predominantly based on the amount of financial aid offered and the level of prestige. Although the campus is nice and I keep telling myself it was a good choice, I’m still a tad bit iffy lol. Guess i’m just butthurt about USC
