When we transfer, do we start USC with the gpa we had in community college, or do we start fresh?
No package deliveries today, I only have 1 piece of mail coming in and for some reason, it says “A mailpiece for which we do not currently have an image is included in today’s mail.” Scaring myself into thinking this is a rejection ah!-- Annenberg applicant
Question for all you South Bay applicants. If accepted do you plan on staying on/off campus or commuting?
Is anyone joining particular clubs at USC?
@dvalenc7 I personally plan on joining the real estate association as well as the snowboarding team and maybe another business related one. My plan is to network as much as possible.
@sabkam youll likely start with an adjusted gpa (only the courses that were transferred over will make up your usc gpa)
@dvalenc7 im planning on joining most of their robotic related clubs even though they dont relate to my major in particular i enjoyed it a lot in hs (i have a list of clubs im interested in but not on me)

Hey, it’s been a couple days (3-4) since I got an SGR through my portal but I haven’t gotten the instructions yet. Should I call/e-mail them? Or does it usually take longer than that

@uscORbust that’s cool you’re utilizing clubs to network and make life long friends. I know how to ski and snowboard but not as good as some of their members. I’ve seen their youtube channel and it’s pretty crazy how good some of them are (front flips, back flips, etc, lol). The real estate association sounds appealing too but I don’t think I’ll be pursuing commercial real estate after all .

I plan on joining a couple business clubs (overwhelming how many different clubs they offer in this field) and the photography club.
@forksinmybox I got my SGR on the portal on May 10th, and the letter didn’t arrive at my house until the 18th, it takes a little while since it’s just shipped as regular mail
Does USC consider the difficulty of your school when evaluating your gpa? How about the rigor of your schedule? Or is the number all-important? Thank you
@USCorBUST1 I think that if I get accepted I will probably try to live on campus so I have better luck adjusting and meeting people but I’ll probably live off campus the next year. The off campus housing is so expensive it seems more worth it to just live on campus.
