Will probably spend another year at CC and re-apply. How do we submit the appeals or know what to write about? Is there a specific template/format?
@guitar0303571 thats strange how u got rejected w/ a 4.0 gpa. You should appeal. Were u taking important classes in spring like calculus 2 that they didn’t see?
Rejected- Marshall junior
GPA 4.0, no w and no F, full time
4/8 GE Compelted last quarter, completing 3 more for Spring Quarter, so by the end of Spring is 6/8 and 1/2 for global perspectives category
Tutor, Student Government, Honors Program, club officer etc
I got incomplete grade for Calculus class cuz I could not take the final exam in winter Quarter. However, I will finish it by the end of Spring. So I was surprised when they rejected me straight away without sgr request.
I already emailed my advisor.
rejected, marshall applicant. here comes the appeal lol
Guys how do we appeal I am also rejected?
@Alpinyo just email your counselor.
OMG I just got decision notification on my portal… I haven’t clicked it yet!
I was denied. It’s been great everyone, I wish you all the best of luck!
It’s unfortunate to see so many rejections come at once, but it was bound to happen at some point. I wish you all the best of luck with whichever other school you have decided to transfer to, or if you’ve decided to appeal. While the appeals are always a long shot, it’s worth taking because it definitely won’t hurt. Two users on CC were accepted via appeal last year, so you never know. Just make sure you SIR somewhere else so that you don’t have to dwell and wait on the appeal decision for a gross amount of time like you did the admission decisions. Best of luck!
idk if its a good or bad sign that I haven’t heard back… Viterbi admission confirmed with me that they received my spring grades about a week ago. Did all rejections come at the same time today?
@arentdogsgreat I got my acceptance package on Monday and my FA was available by Wednesday gl
any body else left standing after this huge wave of rejections?
Ok, so I’m totally confused. I recieved a SGR on 5/12. This morning, after seeing a wave of rejections, something told me check portal and there was a rejection (annenberg). 4.0 GPA no EC’s when applied, completed all GE’s but the two required to take there and 2 more. How is that possible? They sent a letter saying we need to see your spring grades before making a final decision and I had until 6/30 to submit. I’m slightly outraged they would send out hope then crush it without honoring their commitment to at least LOOK at the grades before rejecting. Has this happened to anyone?
@jimmyjammy6 I would definitely contact them, they’re not supposed to make a decision on your application until they receive spring grades
@raindropdroptop I’m still waiting! I find it strange how I’ve gotten absolutely nothing and I kind of want to email my counselor and ask or call admissions…
@Shuisazn lol I’m just going to wait it out tbh. what’s your intended major and are you in-state? if you don’t mind me asking
@jimmyjammy6 was your second choice major a non-Annenberg major? Maybe you only got rejected from your first choice and it was a logistical error, if that’s the case.
@raindropdroptop Both first and second major were biology related LOL And yeah, I’m in state! I live around an hour and a half away (with traffic). I currently have a 4.0 and I think I should be able to keep it for spring semester ;;
Should I appeal ?
Marshall Applicant
I have a 3.9 GPA and they didn’t ask for my spring grades. I’m currently finishing up 20 units, all ge requirements. I will finish with all A’s. I just hate how they didn’t consider my spring grades ? after this semester I’m done with all of my ge and major requirements… I’ve been full time these last two years so I know that’s not the issue. I didn’t really have extra curricular activities, despite the fact that my sister and I started a small online clothing business in our room that now has over 200 orders a day. I did that full time and along this crazy journey, I’ve been raising and caring for my 2 year old daughter. I got pregnant after high school but I still pursued school. I guess it was just too competitive this year. Congrats to the few who made it though ! That’s amazing and I wish you all the very best.
Do you guys think I should appeal though ? Because of the 20 units I’m taking right now ?
