I’m disappointed for all of us who received rejections. It really took me by surprise - everyone else’s rejections, not mine. You’ve put forth the effort required, you’ve waited and waited up until this highly anticipated decision point. There is always the hope of an appeal. At least you can say you’ve tried everything at that point. I intend to try, for what it is worth. In the meantime, if you have a backup plan in place, now would be the best time to implement it and focus your energy in that direction. We will succeed wherever we end up. This has been a journey and not all of us will meet at the same destination, and that’s okay. Even if right now it doesn’t feel like it. For many of you who are applying as sophomores, there is always next year, so don’t lose hope!
For all of those who have been accepted, congratulations to each and every one of you! I am genuinely happy that you’ll experience first-hand what it means to be a Trojan. Fight on!
For those of you still waiting for your decisions, I have my fingers crossed for you! After so many rejections it would be refreshing to see a wave of new acceptances . . . even if I’m not one of the fortunate ones. Keep the hope alive!
Long time lurker here but I finally got my admittance package on Friday!! I honestly didn’t think I was going to get in to Viterbi because my GPA was just average (3.58) but I think what put me over the top was my letter of recommendation from the attorney general of CA that my dad is good friends with. Phew!
For what it’s worth, this thread has shown me some of the most dedicated people iv seen. While USC might have lost some good students, I know that anyone who is this dedicated will succeed anywhere in his/her academe endeavors. Good luck to all of you in your pursuits, ironically what comes to mind at this time is “fight on!”.
Hello Guy
I am new to this site
Congratz to all of USC admitted students, and best of luck for the one who got rejected
I was wondering if any one heard from the transfer merit scholarship???
is there anyone here from viterbi??
I’m Sorry for everyone who got rejected. I just checked my portal and I got rejected too. Time to kick ass and apply for Master’s. See you in the near Future USC!
Just found out someone I’ve had a couple classes with at CC in California got into Marshall. Legit so happy for everyone who made it in! For those who didn’t. Appeal! It can’t hurt! I applied as a sophomore so if I am ultimately rejected , I’m trying again next year as a junior.
@jimmyjammy6 or @ anyone who may have an answer. Do you think someone should appeal their rejection aannndd apply again next year or is it kind of a one or the other thing?
@AGoodFloridian I’m very bummed out about my rejection, but I’m hoping that even though the chance of appeal is slim, I’ll one day be accepted. I am so sorry to hear about your rejections, but I know that you’ll do well in those classes and I wish you the best in your future endeavors, whether it is at USC or another institution.
So my counselor understandably hasn’t e-mailed me back yet, but did any one their counselor whether the appeals letter should be formatted as an e-mail response or attached to an e-mail?
Dont think anyone who emailed their counselor or appealed will hear back by anytime earlier than Tuesday since offices are closed through the long weekend
