@lilego69 Howd you find out which credits transferred?
Guys my counselor just responded to my email. He said I need to send him my Spring grades first (once they’re available) and then the appeal letter. I have all As in all of my classes so far. So do you think there is still hope?
Just to let anyone know that has applied for housing or received an assignment they don’t like, I applied for reassignment and it looks like I’ve already been moved. Went from Parkside Apartments (2 person studio) to Century Apartments (2 bed, 4 person) within just the past couple hours. If you don’t like your options I’d definitely recommend reassignment before leaving on campus housing as a whole, because obviously they move pretty fast and there seemed to be something open right away!
@mjstewart1224 my TCR was created the day i was accepted. i was able to see it once i got access to my.usc
@OCCtoUSC where do you access the TCR?
Are some engineering majors harder to get in than other? For example if I applied for industrial engineering, will I be viewed the same if I were to apply for Computer Science?
@usc2563 myUSC > OASIS > Course Transfer (yellow bar) > Transfer Credit Report
@greenpotatoe Nopee they look at your courses and see if you’re qualified for any engineering degree. So when I go to USC I can choose any Engineering major now if I want to make the switch.
@ashurikko hey, just realized we have the same counselor, i saw that you emailed Hillary about appealing on the day we got rejections, did the same thing and havent heard back from her yet… Have you?
@itslife123 seems kind of odd since some degrees have different math and science requirements
Has anyone with Aaron Brown as a counselor gotten a decision back yet?
@greenpotatoe Math should all be very similar. Some don’t require Multivariable calc like CS games. Some don’t require E&M. But everyone is atleast expected to finish Calc 2 and 1-2 lab based sciences.
@OCCtoUSC Thanks! Apparently my TCR isn’t done, because it doesn’t list anything and it still says that I’m entering as a freshman.
My TCR just posted. I barely reached the cap of maximum transferrable units (64), so all is good. I only lost 1.33 credits coming from a quarter system.
For financial and managerial accounting, it says additional action is required (I need to submit the syllabus of those courses to the department. I don’t recall saving them, so I’m going to have to try to pull together the original syllabi)
@OCCtoUSC when did you get access to myUSC? I don’t have a password for that. Is it a random number they send you, or is there a way to know it now?
@mjstewart1224 you have to pay the deposit first, and then you’ll be able to activate your USC ID after 24 hours.
@mjstewart1224 I think it was after I got the email for orientation. try going to itservices . usc .edu/uscnetid
if you don’t have a USC ID yet.
That sucks because my decision kind of hinges on my credit report, so if I can’t access it until I pay my deposit, I’m screwed
@mjstewart1224 iirc, you don’t get the TCR until 3-6 weeks after you submit your commitment deposit.
@mjstewart1224 look up the articulation histories on USC website to estimate how many units can be transferred. I guess they don’t even start the articulating process for you before you commit to USC since they are so busy now.(give them a phone call anyways). MyUSC is basically the real portal that USC students are using. YouSC is for applicants.
