@Skepta possibly, I’m just glad I could help anyone at all! Really split off from the crowd I was involved with in high school so the past year at community college was pretty uneventful, so it’s been nice being able to communicate with everyone else since we’re all in the same boat! @Shuisazn do you think the low amount of bio majors is any indication of the amount of applicants in that field? I want to believe that I’m not competing against too many other people who probably have better stats than I do :-/ USC is still dragging out the wait for me, since I didn’t hear anything today… ahh…
Guys a C won’t get you rescinded. Getting a D on the other had will probably cause problems.
I’m sorry to say but a SGR puts you at a bigger pressure to get A’s and B’s. But once you’re admitted without any conditions it’s all smooth sailing from their. (If they wanted to see you get B’s and A’s they would’ve asked for a 3.0 or 3.5 conditions of acceptance)
If anyone is worried about a grade, just email your admissions counselor and explain. I got one C and I explained the situation because I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a chance of getting rescinded. I also gave him the heads up before my official transcripts for the spring semester came in just so he was aware.
@zettasyntax You’re right. When you withdraw a class and haven’t told them after getting admitted it becomes a problem because they assume you are gonna complete the course you said you would take. A C in a SGR would look bad because they’re still evaluating you, but once admitted it’s all good. I’m getting a C in my Linear Class so I’m sure hella glad I haven’t been SGR’ed.
When they update the portal at night, does it usually happen right at midnight or is there some range when they’ll update it?
Has anyone who submitted an appeal received a decision on it?
@oso766 I doubt they’d decide on appeals so quickly considering some applicants are still awaiting decisions. I could be wrong though. I saw one user comment that their counselor told them that they’d hear back about their appeal in mid-June.

@mersyno1 I think there aren’t that many people applying for biology! Typically USC isnt known for their biology (I think?) so bio majors are more likely to apply to places like ucla or ucb
