@myalbc im a fall admit but im having trouble too!
@sab002 how do you think you got in
I think when you write
and
about getting accepted to USC - to an audience of people that have been stressing decisions for months - it just came off as insensitive rather than dramatic and funny as you likely intended.
No harm no foul on your part, there’s just still a lot of anxiety for many students - particularly those that may not have any other options.
@mavsp1 oh ok thats strange but I’m glad I’m not the only one i was kind of stressed about it… have u been able to pay the enrollment deposit because I haven’t
Is there a facebook link for admitted transfer students?
for those who have been admitted, how long did it take for the enrollment deposit link to start working?
@kemobk Just tell them you switched the class. USC hates W’s, you DID NOT get a W. You simply dropped the class before the drop date to make your semester more successful. Just make sure you notify them
I talked to my counselor about this topic and from what I understood, as long as you do not have a W, it isn’t a big deal
@myalbc i tried last night but it said that there was an issue with my payment but i checked again this morning and the message was gone and it looks like it went through but im going to call when the weekends over just to double check that everything fine now.
As stated by numerous admission couselors, one or two W’s is okay. There are reasons that sometimes can’t be controlled and so you have to withdraw. Give them a good reason and you’re okay. I have one W, but it was due to going on a US ambassador trip to Peru for two weeks in September. I stated it in my essays and it shows on my transcript. Most normal admission officers would understand. I say most because there always are some crazies out there
@kemobk i had a W because i wasnt taking the class seriously and was going to get an F. i never explained it to them and still got admitted. in your case though you said its not a W so you should be fine.
Still can’t believe my former admission counselor is gone, she was pretty hot
@Batmen I got 3 A’s and 1 W as I had to drop the class due to a conflicting work schedule. where did you hear that you had to submit a letter and they would review your application? kind of worried now. need some input.
How do I know if my spring grades ‘have been processed’?
@bantisz
I guess it’s a sign. SAD
@hellodollyy Here! Still waiting.
Guys it’s a little bit weird. I’ve been asked from my counselor to hand in a more recent financial statement, what does that mean?
Guys what do you think about this situation: My grades from the previous semester are low around 3.2 avg and I received a SGR but this semester I had a 3.6. I am applying from Boston University and my first choice is industrial engineering and second choice is economics
@sagerheinschild @mavsp1 I have got 2 W’s this semester, but got 4.0 from the remaining 4 classes. My W’s was because of some special situation which I have explained to my counselor when I submitted my application. (I submitted late application, and this special situation was one of the main reasons of my transferrin.) Do you think I need to explain again about the reason of 2 W’s to my counselor? Do you think I would still get a chance to be admitted with 2 W’s? (My cumulative GPA is 3.973, junior transfer to Viterbi.) Thank you very much!
@luckybaby I would reach out to your counselor 100%. There is no harm in extra effort put in, I have always emailed my counselor/called in situations. Hey you never know, they might understand, make sure they know USC is your number 1 choice. You have a great GPA so thats good, USC is a weird school and counts W’s as F’s, and with a good reason (as stated above) and with prove if you’re situation would be great.
does anyone know what the average transfer acceptance rate is for School of Cinematic Arts?
