2018 - 2019 USC Transfer

@armadaswim My letter is dated April 26th so I wasn’t the earliest but it was pretty early. I never got a SGR

@yangkyz Viterbi has been one of the later schools to send out decisions this year. So it doesn’t surprise me that you haven’t heard.

Anxiously waiting for a decision after uploading my spring grades this afternoon.

Not sure how long this has been in place, but it looks like USC has a new site for admissions info, and when I go to look up my USC admission counselor it gives me a different name than before, which seems odd since my previous counselor is still responsible for my state. I was about to send a question so I’ll throw this in since it might just be a website fluke.

@LovesDinosaurs I just checked and you are right. The undergraduate admission page has changed and actually so has the counselor for the schools/territory the previous counselor was assigned to. Wonder why?

@sugarcane1 Does seem to be an error, at least for me. My previous counselor should still be my counselor as she’s responsible for my entire state. My new result is Jesse but I didn’t find his/her bio.

Perhaps they’re changing them up for the next admissions year. The current admission cycle is pretty much over after all. I don’t think that it impacts us.

@Vincent1997 Have you received a decision yet? I’m still waiting for mine, and I never received a SGR. I would send my spring grades in anyway, but they haven’t been officially posted yet.

@lrecupero yeah I got a sgr sometime in May.

@Vincent1997 That makes sense. I thought I would know by the June 1st deadline if I never received a SGR. Did they forget about me? Idk what to think if this is good or bad at this point lol.

If you didn’t get SGR, I would call and ask if they have timeframe and to make sure they didn’t forget about you.

@giriboy yes sorry for the late response! i finished my first year at george washington university. my fall gpa was a 3.53 and my spring gpa was a 3.72. i had a lot of extra curricular activities and asked my counselor to update my application with my second semester activities after USC requested my spring grades. i’m political science in dornsife with pre law as my pre professional emphasis.

@Irecupero I hhavent receieved either yet . I emailed them and they said I would hear on my application soon

I’m surprised they haven’t put anything on twitter or their blog addressing the late decisions.

For those that got accepted into Marshall do you absolutely have to have all the general ed prereqs done? Is is possible to get accepted if you haven’t done the biological sciences and two humanities courses

Hi, I got admitted recently as a transfer student to USC for Fall 2018 and I haven’t gotten my financial aid yet, so I didn’t submit my housing application. I’m getting super worried because I know USC housing runs out quickly, so I was wondering if I’d still have a chance at housing if I submit the application within the next week or so? Also, would anyone know what the process is like for getting off campus housing and how easy it is? I’m completely clueless since I’m coming from a community college. Thanks in advance!

I got into USC today… as a spring admit. I’m kind of dead right now, because I got in, but it’s so pointless for me. I can take one single class at a cc in fall or just sit on my hands and do nothing for half a year…

@Vincent1997 Well congrats…sort of? I know you really researched what to do when it came to deciding USC was the one - are there other options remaining for you? Do the $ figures work out at USC or are you still waiting on those?

Hey y’all!

I have been admitted to Media Arts + Practice for this fall. Currently looking for housing and I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on whether off-campus or on-campus housing would be better for our first year as transfers. I’m hella lost, but excited to move from NYC to LA.

@CADREAMIN I have other options but none of them are perfect.

USC: Starting only in spring. 2 years to grad, so 2.5 total
UNC: Business not guaranteed. 2.5 years to grad
Notre Dame / Michigan (if I get in): Takes 3 years to graduate.

Cost wise USC is significantly more expensive then UNC. I do not get any financial aid.
