I’ve read a bit more about the Patriots thing.
So let’s see if I have this straight: We are supposed to believe the Patriots hired a video company to film only their scout-but he went completely rogue and instead filmed the Bengals’ sideline. The Bengals-who just happen to be the next opponent.
Seems believable.
If true, and the Pats are once again caught cheating, then Bellichick cannot go down in history as a genius IMO. And Brady cannot go down in history as the GOAT. Not for me anyway.
Their run of success has been beyond amazing, but tainted IMO. And if found “guilty” here, then the NFL must come down REALLY hard on them. Again, if cheating is discovered once more, then the NFL should force the sale of the Pats and have Kraft kicked out of the NFL. And Bellichick fired.
Looks like the worst the NFC East division winner could finish is 8-8, and the best is 9-7.
Again, The Cowboys are a mess! It doesnt really matter if it’s them or the Eagles in the playoffs. Neither team will get past the first game. I’m really just excited about a new coach.
Also, cannot wait to see the Patriots lose to the Ravens!
Looks like NFC playoffs are (if there are no ties next week):
1: SF, GB, NO, or SEA
2: GB, NO, or SEA
3: NO, SEA, or GB
4: PHI or DAL
5: SEA or SF
6: MIN
AFC playoffs are (if there are no ties next week):
1: BAL
2: NE or KC
3: KC, NE, or HOU
4: HOU or KC
5: BUF
6: TEN, PIT, or OAK
Italics = team may or may not make it into in the playoffs.
Underline = team controls its own destiny in making it into the playoffs.
Oh my… da beast mode! The youngsters are all broken… old farts to the rescue! here we go. ?
There’s some video out there of Lynch secretly training. Looks like I could take an NFL hit better than Lynch at the moment.
Don’t forget. Football is entertainment. It is meant to sell tickets and move merch. Judging by the reaction of our local paper readers, old farts will bring in $$.
Even CNBC squawked about Lynch this morning. If the dude is half as good as he used to be, he is still better than many youngsters out there. ?
I never thought Marshawn played with “a full deck,” but at this point, I’m actually afraid he’ll really hurt himself, in terms of knocks the head. Although the 49ers have roughly the same amount of injuries, they’re defense is young and the Seattle offensive line, like the 49ers, aren’t playing well right now.
Honestly, I’m not sure you need anyone else out there, but Russell Wilson. He might be able to win a 1v11.
This kind of arrogance deserves to be re-played. Patriots have had a stellar history, but this whole “just give us the trophy without us working for it” philosophy just must be called out when they fall flat on their faces. They were totally humbled tonight.
I am rooting for Kansas City, but of course there are many in the running, San Fran and Ravens among them.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Bummer. You beat me to it. How’d those Red Sox do too?
Hopefully, both Philly and Seattle get beaten up tomorrow so they’ll be very tired coming across the country on 6 days for the game against the 49ers.
Lol, the Titans pulled that no rush defense at the end of 2nd quarter.
We are thrilled here in Tennessee. Extra special that we took out the Patriots. Now- Fly Eagles Fly!
Well, they already admitted to it, so it’s not really an “if”. The organization that prides itself on control in all aspects are using the “it was an independent company, don’t blame us” defense for the organization that they hired, paid, and were responsible for.
Word on ESPN is that punishment is coming. Another team, first time offfense, it may be relatively minor. Convicted cheater, repeating the same offense - I expect it to be significant.
TD Tommy ending his NE career with a pick-6, losing a playoff game would provide a significant dose of schadenfreude to 95% of the country.
Next round:
Tennessee at Baltimore
Houston at Kansas City
Minnesota at San Francisco
Seattle at Green Bay
So thrilled the Patriots lost and Jason Garrett is out! Great weekend of football!
Wow, @MomofWildChild must be ecstatic tonight! Impressive set of upsets by the Titans so far.
Because my team is out, Titans are my next pick, then the Texans. Can’t believe how good they looked tonight.
I am an Eagles fan first, but very happy about the Titans- and very surprised. It was very questionable whether they would even make the playoffs. To knock out the Patriots and beat the terrific Ravens will keep this city going for a long time!
