2019-2020 Football season

Excited and NERVOUS for the Packers tonight. Should be nice and frigid at Lambeau tonight so hope that works in their favor! Fans had a big job clearing out the stadium of snow this week:

Who cannot love this tradition!?

Does Baltimore win a prize for least efficient conversion of yardage to points?

As in, they scored only 12 points while gaining 530 yards.

Out of 11 drives:

  • 2 interceptions
  • 1 fumble
  • 4 failed 4th down conversions
  • 1 punt
  • 2 field goals
  • 1 touchdown

Just got home from the grocery store and am stunned at the Texans/Chiefs score at the beginning of the second quarter. Wow.

Another crazy game and I love it!

I love it too! 28 unanswered points by Kansas City! Crazy crazy crazy.

They needed only 434 yards to score 51 points, the opposite of the Ravens gaining 530 yards to score 12 points.

The Packers managed to hang in there - again - and pulled off another stroke inducing win.

Holy guacamole. What a game! What a game. Green Bay rocked. Hawks unfroze up a bit too late.

On a side note… Watching the local news. Gotta love the Beast Mode. Giving financial advice to the teammate kiddos… love it. Maybe he can join us in the Retirement thread. ?

Credit where credit is due for Green Bay’s new (young) coach getting them this far.

Thank God for that early scoring and lead - yes, we were having a stroke those last few minutes!

Russell Wilson is a beast. Serious beast stuff going on with him.

Both conference championships are rematches of regular season games:

Tennessee 35, Kansas City 32 (but at Tennessee)

San Francisco 37, Green Bay 8

Looking forward to tonight’s game. Go, Tigers!

Happy to see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl!

Kansas City 35, Tennessee 24
San Francisco 37, Green Bay 20

A great day of football. And should be a fantastic Super Bowl. I’m a lifelong SF Niners fan, so I’ll be rooting for the team from Santa Clara, CA.

What do Joe Montana, Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac, Steve DeBerg, and Alex Smith have in common?

Didn’t they all play for the 49ers and the Chiefs?

Yes.

Not sure if there is a Super bowl thread, and the “OK boomer retort” thread is long closed, but I am watching a show on old and new super bowl commercials. Apparently there is a Hummus commercial this year with Boomer Esiason, with the tag line, “OK Boomer”. Its clever.

Looking forward to watching the game for (a) the commercials and (b) b/c both S’s live in San Francisco.
