2019-2020 USC Transfer

So for the housing glitch i tried my USC FAST id # and I pressed “forgot password” and it said “password could not be sent” but when i registered to make an account with my usc id it made an account for housing for fall 2019. Is that normal? idk what to make of it.

now it’s saying “password has been sent” when I press “forgot password”. hmmm interesting

^^^Read that last 10 or so pages, it was all about that already.

I have to pay 2050$ for my rent alone so if I could get my decision as soon as possible that would be awesome, I’d move out the next day then.

Does anyone know who I would contact to update my courses on my application? I’m probably dropping a course for a “W”.

@speng101 your admissions counselor at usc

@speng101 contact your admissions counselor or email to the admissions office’s general email address

My daughter go into Vanderbilt today, she will pull her application out from USC , best of luck to you all

Congrats @Coopy1!

I had 3 B’s my first semester of college and then afterwards i got all straight A’s except my business calculus class i got a B in it. Im at about 70 units with a 3.8 GPA. But if i were to cancel out my first semester gpa im at about a 3.96. I feel like my upward trend will help me a lot but my B in Business Calculus worries me. However I did talk to a counselor on transfer day and they told me not to worry so much about the B. What do you guys think

@MrSir323 Don’t worry too much. I feel like you will either get a straight acceptance or an SGR. A “B” in Business Calculus won’t be an automatic rejection as long as your other grades are good.

Good luck.

Hopefully, there will be a wave of decisions tomorrow! Last year on the forth Friday of April, USC released a small wave of acceptances and SGRs, so I hope they will do the same this year.

This waiting is getting so long.

@MrSir323, Yeah, I think the worst that would happen is getting an SGR. I got a C in Calculus my first semester at my CC, which really dragged my GPA. I emailed my counselor for help, and he told me my best choice would be to take Business Calculus, which I did and got an A in. I received an SGR 2 weeks ago, so I think a B in your Business Calculus would not hurt your chances.

Hey thats a really good turn around! I think you have a solid chance, maybe we are equals haha! Good luck!

Thank you for helping me feel a little better. Quick question, if i get an SGR it does not directly mean that I am accepted right? Or does it mean my chances are really high if I keep my GPA high

Heard a friend of mine got a decision from Thornton school of music, still waiting on mine though…

Hello everyone!

SCA applicant here waiting for a decision. Fingers crossed for next week!

@MrSir323 Yeah, SGR means that they’ll need to see your final spring grades before making their decision. It wouldn’t hurt your chances if you maintain a high GPA, but it is definitely not guaranteed of an acceptance though.

I got a wgr 2 weeks ago and I sent it but on the portal it still says “awaiting” should I be worried or is that normal?

Do people think it is coming out soon? Also if I have less than 30 credits they focus mostly on my high school grades right?
