2019-2020 USC Transfer

I think packages will be sent out Saturday, decisions released on portal Tuesday.

I think this question may have been answered but, do the packages come via United States Postal Service or through UPS or something else?

@FemmeFilmFatale USPS. so Informed delivery sometimes work.

Hey guys, just now I received an email from USC saying that “Our office has reviewed your application and would like to recommend you for admission.”

Does it mean that I’m in?!

Has anyone with a non-custodial parent filled out the CCS profile? And if so, has USC asked for a tax return from the non-custodial?

@coolcarrot my daughter applied to transfer to USC from a 4-year non-TTP last year. She got accepted for Spring 2019. She is currently attending. They did not ask for her Spring grades, but when she had her official transcripts send from her first semester as a freshman it kept saying they were waiting for them. She finally called and they said they didn’t have them, and then the woman on the phone asked her to hold on. She was on hold for about 10 minutes and she came back on the line and said, “I just found them. They were in this pile over there.” I suppose they are a literal physical copy. So, it may be worth a call.

@NiEYtransfer are you for real? I’ve never heard of them sending an email like that… but it sounds like a good thing! Are you TTP?

@NiEYtransfer I have never heard of an email worded like yours. When my daughter got accepted her email verbiage was something like - there has been an update to your admission portal. I’d check your portal for any “official” word from USC.

For those who were wondering about informed delivery, I was able to track the box as it went through the system. HOWEVER, this is probably because it was not part of a mass mail out (as in freshmen notification). Also, D’s portal updated prior to USC sending out the box. We also live in a three day delivery window area. The sender is clearly USC.

Good luck and fight on!

I’m non-TPP. That’s just the beginning part of the email. They wanted me to confirm something.

@jvroomsc I had to get the noncustodial parent to fill out the CSS Profile. USC did not ask me for a copy of her tax return. So far, the only school that is asking for a transcript of my noncustodial parent’s tax return is Cornell. I got into UVA this morning, which meets full need like USC and requires noncustodial parent info as well, and they have not asked me about noncustodial tax transcripts either.

Hopefully USC won’t because I will never be able to provide that info lol.

How did you know

BTW guys, I received the password email from the housing system this morning. Did anyone else get something similar?

Really hoping for a wave at 5PM today!

I was able to actually begin the housing application (I have not yet been formally accepted)… in fact, it is even allowing me to submit it. Is everyone else able to do this too?

^^^ did you register first?

@CookieMnstr Yes

I think just about anyone who registered first, was able to get into the housing application. Don’t look to much into it, just hang on until you hear from USC. Decisions are just around the corner. Good luck

I made an account for housing but I can’t start the application

Can you register for housing after receiving the SRG?

Just got SGR today as Non-TTP. Already got into Vanderbilt and Emory so I might withdraw my app soon as I will most likely attend Vandy, wishing you all the best!
