2019-2020 USC Transfer

@sagaciousforever If you don’t get into USC or if you do get in and don’t get a good financial aid package, I recommend you attend UCSD.

I didn’t even know UCSD had a business program! I should’ve scrutinized more when applying on the UC Application. San Diego is an awesome place to live, and I think you’ll enjoy the atmosphere for sure!

In other words, Congratulations! You won whether you get into USC or not! You should be proud!

@GoodAfternoonSir i agree with everything you said but just one thing, UCSD does not have a business program, just a international business major!

@sagaciousforever No problem at all! I have a 3.70 GPA, generally an upward trend. I’m a bit worried about USC since my UC transfer GPA is higher. Hopefully USC is a bit more lenient with my older grades from a 4-year

Just got offered a full ride to Berkeley for econ, hopefully if I get into marshall they offer good aid or else it’s going to be a very touch choice

To anyone looking for movement, my friend and I who both attend the same school (private), both received an SGR request today.

@AREDECISIONSCOUT Congratulations man! UCB is a great school and if I got a full ride there I’d definitely go, here’s to hoping you get into USC if it’s your top though!

@GoodAfternoonSir Thanks! I will consider it.

But my priority goes like this for now: USC, Pepperdine, UCSD.

Does USC have transfer admit day? Because I saw that today is Admitted Student Day

Has anyone heard if decisions will be released next week? Last week I think it was first week of May or middle of May

@aredecisionsout Your username is cracking me up hahaha way too relatable

USC lagging on these decisions is causing so much anxiety on me right now lol

If I get my USC admission package, I will keep that package forever… It will be my family treasure. It will be more than jewelry to me lol

I just checked my portal, both the general one and the financial aid one. Under the application review, I now have this message: “Your financial aid application is currently in review. Please Note: We will notify you during the review process if additional documents are required. Financial Aid Summaries for transfer students will be released in early May.”

It sounds like decisions will come soon if summaries are expected in early May!

@FemmeFilmFatale So I’m wondering if we do indeed receive our Financial aid information earlier, does that mean we are admitted? Is the release of financial aid information an indicator of acceptance?

I’m just waiting on USC now. I’m holding off paying the 500$ deposit for housing at UC Davis at the moment. So If I could know my decision for USC as soon as I can that would be great.

anyone else in this thread a freshman, non-TTP, applying for Astronautical Engineering and/or Mathematics?

@GoodAfternoonSir I am not sure. I was thinking and I don’t know if they have to put them for the accepted sophomore transfers or what. I have no idea how it really works. I’d like to know if everyone’s portal says that or just some of us? Congrats on Davis though! Hopefully, it’ll all work out in the end. I’m hoping to hear from USC this week but who knows.

asking for a friend, are prospective global health majors considered during the Dornsife wave of ? or is there a Keck one that comes later on

@FemmeFilmFatale My financial aid portal was changed to that as well. That is definitely different from before. I don’t know if that is an indicator of acceptance or not, but at least that is hinting that a wave of decisions is coming in early May!

@FemmeFilmFatale @vegastransfer Did you guys apply for financial aid or did that just happen randomly? Because I didn’t apply for financial aid and nothing has changed for me.

@AFutureStudent Yes, I applied for financial aid. I’m assuming if you didn’t apply for FA, that message wouldn’t appear.

Is there anybody here who DID apply for financial aid and does NOT see that message? I’m wondering if it changed for everybody or just certain people.
