There’s a new update to the FAST system, under applicant review. It no longer says early May but this instead: “Your financial aid application is currently in review. Please note: We will notify you during the review process if additional documents are required. Financial Aid Summaries for transfer students are usually available three to five business days after all required documents have been received.”
@FemmeFilmFatale I just checked mine and I also have the exact same message. I don’t think it indicates we are gonna get accepted, but I do wish it means that we will get our decisions back soon.
@wantstogotoharvd Yeah, I think the only thing that indicates if we got in is receiving the packet, lol. Hopefully you’re right about decisions coming soon!
My application changed too. It now says "Be advised that if you already sent materials that currently appear as “Awaiting,” it may take some time for those documents to be processed into your application.
If you are currently enrolled in college coursework during the Fall 2018 term, please send your transcript that includes your Fall grades."
@oceansquare I also see that message I can’t tell you how long it’s been there. I am currently enrolled in Spring 2019 and have not been asked for a SGR but they do have my fall grades.
@CADREAMIN how many credits does a transfer student get to have with aid at USC? Like when does financial aid run out for a transfer student? I ask this because while don’t want to double major, I do want to spend my time at USC learning an extra language for their study abroad (I used my language requirement to learn Farsi).
Now that I’ve jumped on the informed delivery bandwagon, I’ve added another layer of stress to my plate. Haha.
Since I don’t live at home, and am not staying at my current residence for much longer, I opted to put my parent’s address on my application. Now, I’m just jumping at any indication of a package being sent to their house, and it’s been a letdown every time. My mom is a postal worker as well, and she just laughs at my anxiety.
@bksyazd Regular tuition with/without financial aid will cover 18 units/semester with the standard class being 4 units. However many units you go above that will have to come out of pocket.
A multitude of my friends from LA (not applying, though) mentioned that USC is sending out decisions may 1st aka today, is there any validity to that or am I making myself anxious for no reason?
@maheralsakkaf I mean, they could be right, they could be wrong. I think USC and and their admissions officers are the only ones with actual validity, lol.
