I was accepted but just rejected offer. Good luck to anyone hoping to get in via waitlist!
@goldenhours So where do you plan on going now that you rejected USC’s offer?
Claremont McKenna decisions come out tomorrow. CMC and USC were my top two choices, but I already SIR’d to USC. CMC would make me rethink the decision, but I think I will end up sticking with USC regardless of how it goes tomorrow. Lowkey hoping for a rejection just so my mind doesn’t wander about CMC vs USC lol.
Most likely Georgetown University! @GoodAfternoonSir
@goldenhours Congratulations!
Thank you! I’m still waiting on a few decisions but that’s my top choice at the moment. @GoodAfternoonSir
@goldenhours Congrats on Georgetown!! I wanted to apply there but they required SAT scores and were very confusing about having them waived. Definitely a top choice of mine for grad school though!
@vegastransfer Haha same, I’ll be applying to all the top law schools in the nation after graduating. I’m currently studying for my LSAT and plan on taking it in December. Would like a 170 atleast haha its easier said than done!
Thanks so much!! I was nervous lol so I applied to 21 schools. And ah, for sure apply!! @vegastransfer
@GoodAfternoonSir I’m going to take the LSAT and GRE to see which I score better on lol. If I score high enough on the LSAT to get into a top law school, then I’ll definitely consider that path.
@FlashyT Nice to see someone else who applied to one of the Claremont Colleges! I’ve toured their campuses and do love it there. It would be such a hard choice between one of them and USC. Totally different environments when comparing a LAC to a massive university.
@vegastransfer Oh yeah I heard that law schools are accepting GRE scores too nowadays. I wonder which one is easier lol. You know thats not a bad idea. Maybe I’ll take the GRE myself too next year.
@GoodAfternoonSir More and more law schools are accepting the GRE. USC and Georgetown both do for their law schools. It can also help me decide (if I do bad on the LSAT) whether grad school for my field is a better fit for me compared to law school. So I see taking it as a win-win regardless of how it goes lol
Good to hear that you guys have applied to so many schools. I only applied to USC, UCLA, UCB, UCSD, UCI, and Emory. I only got into UCSD so far.
The good thing is that I am at Pepperdine now so it’s not a big deal for me to stay. However, I should have applied to U Mich, NYU, and Georgetown. I think it’s because I was too overwhelmed with all the essays and other preparation work so I decided not to apply.
@FlashyT LAC = Liberal arts college
@sagaciousforever Personally I only applied to schools within California so that I don’t need to pay as much as an in-state student. I didnt apply to NYU and Georgetown because of financial reasons, to be honest. I’ll definitely apply for grad school though!
@GoodAfternoonSir We are on a business track so NYU Stern is similar to Ivy’s level.
NYU’s Econ is not that good and New York is just such a crowded city and I prefer staying in Cali.
I should have tried Georgetown and U Mich though.
In state is not relevant to private universities.
@GoodAfternoonSir For tuition, UCs are definately cheaper for you to attend. Private schools should be the same for both out of state and in state.
i think this Friday and Saturday are the days we should be looking out for decisions based on USC’s transfer decisions history (especially if you’re an Annenberg applicant)
I recently got a spring grade request, but I’m probably going to get a C in my biology class. I’m TTP and I’m assuming the C is going to sink my application, but I’ve heard some people say they explain certain grades when they send in their spring grades. I was wondering if anyone knew where/how I would send in an explanation.
