2019-2020 USC Transfer

@turntechgm Yes, you are right. Most of us who did not get an SGR will get a decision by USC’s June 1st deadline.

For those who got an SGR, they are more likely to hear the final decision in June or July.

is it possible to get a SGR on may 31st?

Generally is your chance of acceptence higher with or without an SGR

@wanjunhing Yes.

Ugh they take so long, a few weeks ago I honestly forgot I applied to USC lol. I hope decisions come out by Friday at least so that gives us time to decide between USC or the other UC’s by June 1st

@supreme99870 It’s the same. USC evaluates each applicant differently so everyone’s case is different.

One thing for sure is that admits who hear back early are the one who did not get SGR.

An SGR might significantly delay the time of receiving your final decision.

Ugh. I can’t believe there wasn’t another wave today for you all. It’s been two weeks since the last wave. I’m hoping for Friday now!

On another note, I was rejected from Claremont McKenna. At least that means I won’t question my decision to SIR to USC. Fight on!

@Chez59 What UCs did you get in?

Does anyone know if not submitting my FAST is delaying my admission decision?

Since it was not in the initial application I did not feel like it would have anything to do with my decision, but after waiting so long I am wondering if the admissions team needs me to submit my FAST first.

@sagaciousforever I was rejected by Berkeley, accepted to Irvine and SD, and waitlisted by UCLA lolol

Any admitted students wanna make a group me?

@burritomadness It’s not. Financial Aid and Admissions are completely separate.

For future reference:

Admitted for Dornsife History major (junior)

Current school: low-tier UC (out of state)

GPA: 3.85

Hooks: URM

EC: relevant internships and lots of community volunteering. Bunch of sport captainships and clubs in HS.

Essays: interesting! probably 9/10

Admitted at the end of April without WGR or SGR

With how USC seems to be off schedule by about a week, I honestly would not be surprised if there are more cases of people not hearing by their promised deadline, which would suck for you guys :\ This year seems so slow.

LMAO Viterbi is taking DAYS

got a SGR for marshall

It’s so interesting that they are giving out SGR but not decisions… what are they waiting for??

@itsgoingtobeokay Have you completed business calc and the writing requirement? or are you finishing them this spring?

@CADREAMIN @rish68 My CC is actually a semester system. I ended winter inter-session the week of Valentine’s. Not sure what’s up

@zettasyntax Do you think they’ve made their decisions and are just doubling checking everything because of the scandal? Or do you think some are still in the admissions process of actually choosing people?
