2019-2020 USC Transfer

Did people get their financial aid yet that got in?

I just got my final grades for the semester. Should I submit them even without a SGR? I got a 3.9 this semester and would like them to see that.

@blueskies2day lol, thanks for noticing. I try to be, haha.

@zettasyntax God, that must have sucked. I really hope that doesn’t happen to any other students/applicants. It seemed to work out in the end though, right?

My friend didn’t hear from Annenberg didn’t hear back until June 24 last year :frowning:

i got an SGR found out with my friend (who got an SGR as well) in the rain she has the flu and this cured her

we are going to celebrate with 4lokos being 4loko about usc

@FemmeFilmFatale Yeah, I eventually made it to USC in the end :smile: Some people on here thought I was lying when I said I had not received a decision by their promised deadline, but it happened. I remember @sagaciousforever saying he knew people that were left in the dark until July, so I didn’t even have it that bad apparently. Cases like mine seem to be the exception, but with how things are going, I wouldn’t be shocked if it happens more often this year.

@dodgers2235 Sure, there’s no harm. If you did wind up getting an SGR, at least they would already have your grades and that could possibly lead to a decision sooner rather than later. I would send in grades as they became available, like when I completed a couple of 8 week spring semester courses. I sent the grades in.

@zettasyntax thank you!

Does anyone know what it would look like on the portal if the result is out? I was wondering if anyone has screenshots or smth.

@aprilli I’ve wondered this too. So, can someone who’s been accepted or received an SGR describe what the page will look like?

@vegastransfer Can you? ^

I am not positive but I am pretty sure there is a link that says there has been a “status update” in your application and then you have to click it. Not 100% sure thought. @Aprilli

@zettasyntax My biggest fear is that we all get hit with an SGR. Then there’s no telling when we would possibly find out. Hopefully that doesn’t happen. I’d for a big wave to happen today since they seem to love the 16th so much. Fingers crossed.

Same my counselor is her too and she hasnt responded to me for long time. I have been wondering why. wow

@FlashyT Dude, relax. They were just making an inference on the information they know. Admissions teams are generally small across all schools. It’s normally, literally just a room full of people making these decisions.

welp after the final I just took, I am PRAYING that USC doesn’t spring grade request me because that’s about to be a whole entire disaster.

@FemmeFilmFatale Yeah, SGRs are tough. I didn’t hear that I was rejected until almost mid-July, but I had a semester that ended in early June, so that didn’t help things.

I think they like the 23rd as well. I got my SGR on April 23rd and my cousin was accepted on May 23rd one year, so the 16th makes a lot of sense too if they want to release batches of decisions a week apart. If there’s nothing today, then yeah, I don’t know what to think anymore. There just has to be some decisions today.

What are you guys doing if you got an SGR? I got accepted to 5 other schools and I can’t pay the deposit for all of them, but my semester ends May 22, and I am seeing people say I might not hear back from USC until July after sending my grades. Are you all just paying the deposits for every school or going USC or bust?

@sostressed201 I’d contact your counselor, if possible (I know not everyone’s is responsive). Maybe you can get your teachers to sign off on your current grades and submit those? I’d def contact your counselor or Admissions Office.

Hi everyone,
I saw people saying about SGR. I am currently in a community college right now and my semester will end at May 31 and i haven’t heard or had any idea about SGR. What should i do in this situation guys?

@RyanLam Nothing but wait.
