@sagaciousforever I’m just worried because it’s reminding me of what happened when I applied to uci. Uci uses a rolling system too and most people who didn’t hear back until later were rejected. Uci waves usually went acceptances, waitlist and then rejection. Usc definitely has a low acceptance rate so most of us will get rejected
Hoping the best for both of us though
@HouseTrojan32 USC is different though. They don’t only send rejections in the last two weeks.
Yeah, good luck!
My SGR disappeared. I’m so confused now lol
If I was accepted, but didn’t pay the $300 enrollment fee yet, would I still be notified if housing for me was available? (I submitted a housing application already)
Also, when would we usually be notified if we got housing after we submitted the housing application?
No. You will have to commit without knowing housing situation. I think that’s what you are asking.
Have there been any acceptances for Annenberg (non-TTP)? And does Annenberg accept International Students? Sorry, really starting to freak out now that May 31st is approaching so quickly.
Does anybody know what it means if my Spring Grade Request was removed from my portal? Thanks !
@kaimills same thing happened to mine; probably just a mistake.
@Steamedz Thats kind of what I thought. I wonder if it’s happned to anybody else also.
@sagaciousforever Clay was my D counselor/rep for HS as well as CC. She is a Dornsife applicant and hasn’t heard back either. We (mostly me) are on pins and needles awaiting an update. At this point we just want the rejection so we can stop checking the portal everyday - yes I said everyday LOL!
How exactly did you explain the W on your transcript? Was it because of a medical reason or something @transferusc88
What do admissions look for in spring grades?
@woshua I did not explain it because I do think that I have a valid reason.
I dropped two classes because I might get a “B” or “B-” (“B-” is the worst case but it’s almost impossible. Still, I don’t want to risk getting two “B” because I was set on transferring to USC so earning the highest possible grades is my priority ) in both classes so I dropped them.
I retook them and got “A” in both. I am extremely abnormal since people usually drop because they might fail.
@sagaciousforever I meant to tag @ transferusc88 my bad. But what classes were they?
@woshua I dropped Intro to Sociology and Financial Accounting.
For Sociology, I will most likely get a “B” unless I get a 93 in the final to get a “B+” and a 98 to get an “A-”, so I did not risk the chance of getting a “B”.
The first time taking Financial Accounting, I might either end up with a “B-” or “B”, but the second time I took it and I mastered it.
If I were not to drop those two classes and earned a “B” or “B+”, I would probably end up with a high 3.6 something right now.
Taking them again and got all “A” helped me to a 3.77 today. I got 3.9 something for both Fall and Spring semester of my sophomore year.
@woshua These two classes are my only “W” and I don’t think that “W” will affect your admission as long as you keep the number of “W” as low as possible. I got into UCSD with two “W”.
One thing important is that you have no “W” in your most recent year.
My two “W” were all in my freshman year.
@sagaciousforever I don’t have any W’s except a D in bus calc because I didn’t want to drop
how are you guys paying the enrollment deposit? i cant find where to pay it
Just posted my STAT to STAT discussion.
