@FlashyT
How do you know that Pepperdine applicants ought to get in? My GPA is not too strong (3.77 after Spring 2019). Still, thank you for your kind words though!
I think I have good essays emphasizing on a lot on a more suitable curriculum available for me. I also talked about the classes that I want to take and my experiences studying in USC’s Downey Library.
I have two Pepperdine friends who transferred last year and all got in, but they were both Spring admits.
Hearing nothing at this point does make me worried a little though.
In terms of a percentage how likely are appeals to be granted? My GPA jumped by almost a point this semester vs last semester but received no SGR. @CADREAMIN and @zettasyntax do you guys think this would be a good basis for my appeal?? I took almost 42 units this semester to show USC I could handle the work as I had extenuating circumstances 1st semester.
Has anyone been notified about scholarships yet? How do you find out if you’ve been given one?
My FA award still hasn’t come in. Is this how I would know about merit awards?
Congratulations to everyone who got in today!!! Ready to be Trojans with you all in the fall!
To those still waiting, let’s hope this entire week is decisions, decisions, decisions! Hoping to see some more tomorrow.
any viterbi accpentances today? Looks like there were onlycouple SGRs…
@FlashyT I am a little bit low in units (only 62 units including AP) so I am not sure how USC will view this. Most importantly, not all of many classes are transferable. I already know for sure that two classes won’t transfer. Maybe USC can only take them as electives.
Also, I have two Ws. I dropped them because I might get a “B” or “B-“ (although most Likely not) in those classes. I took them in Fall and got “A” for both. Therefore, my units are like: 13, 12, 18, 16 for my four semesters at Pepperdine.
If the above situation is fine and my essays are valued by the admission team, I should have a high chance of getting in.
@lookingxaround Scholarship decisions come out in the first week or two of June. They will notify you by email I believe. Financial aid takes about a week or two to receive after being admitted and all requested documents are submitted.
Does anyone know when is the last day to SIR?
@Jiminlovee You must SIR by June 1st or within 2 weeks of recieving your decision (whichever is later).
@sagaciousforever You’re very optimistic that you’ll get in lol
First time posting. Waiting for Viterbi decision and it’s killing me lol. Never got a SGR, so i think that means I either definitely got in or definitely didn’t. My stats are decently good and i’m transferring from a pretty good college on the east coast. Already got into michigan ann arbor, but this would be my dream school.
@HouseTrojan32 I can do nothing now but to keep up the optimism.
Hopefully, the waiting will be over by this Friday.
By the way, I will appeal if I get rejected.
@bbbbbbbbbenz Did you transfer from UIUC? I think and I am guessing that maybe USC takes longer to review applicants from an already good university ( let’s say US News top 50).
Hope that you will get in by the end of this week. You are certainly qualified since you got into UMich.
I just uploaded my spring grades to portal even though I didn’t get an SGR bc they were posted today. might as well
@neilsola Good luck! Hope that they check it tomorrow and you will hear the good news very soon! I uploaded my spring grades (even though not being asked) by the end of April and I am still waiting here.
No from Villanova, which is still a top 50 university. Just want to escape the east coast at this point.
@sagaciousforever got into fall. Checked it a little after 5pm like everyday we always would. And you better get in as well yo
I just realized that people transferring from 4 year OOS have not heard back for the most part. Could it be that we all hear back on the last day after they fill the CC quota?
Did anyone create a facebook group for admitted students?
Hey to whoever was downplaying CC saying they go to a university and classes are harder lol. People choose CCs because the classes you take your first two years are equivalent to the first two years at a univeirsty lol that doesn’t make the classes easier. That’s rude to say, my professor for classes at cc were professors at schools like Pepperdine lmu and cal states that teach the same course materials at both places.
