2019-2020 USC Transfer

I kind of made a commitment to my dad that I wouldn’t transfer again and he manages my college fund
I kind of feeling like SIR’ing to UCLA to do credit evaluations but on the other hand it doesn’t feel right to SIR and steal a spot from someone on the waitlist when chances are I won’t go there. I did that same thing with Cal Poly and Virginia.

@JCMaxwell I think GATech would be your best bet. Almost no other school would come close to the opportunities available at GATech for Aerospace

@Becausethety I likely agree. I like the campus and my classes here thus far.
I may have preferred Michigan but Michigan has an extremely laborious transfer credit review process. I got all of the credits I needed for there, but not until after they had to issue me a rejection.

@JCMaxwell u’re right co-op is supeeeer important, good luck!!

Even if I don’t become a Trojan I’ll still stan this school

Portal was updated around 5:30pm; I got in to Viterbi!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but when exactly do we need to commit by? USC’s website says “By June 1 or two weeks after receiving your admission letter”; does “admission letter” mean the portal or the actual acceptance package?

accepted! Viterbi computer science!

Accepted Viterbi electrical engineering non-TTP sophomore. Come from a quarter system school. No WGR or SGR

Marshall applicant here. These are my stats
School: Michigan State University
GPA: 3.87
30 Credits
ECs: 2 finance clubs and tutoring
Received an SGR May 1 and turned in my spring grades May 8. My portal for the longest time had said awaiting spring grades but when I checked today it was gone and I called USC and they said they had it. Getting really nervous here because I haven’t gotten my decision yet.
Thoughts?

looks like im the first ttp to get rejected lol…

@DDHH2017 Congrats!!

USC is filling spots now and hopefully there will be more acceptances tomorrow.

I guess they didn’t work on finish reviewing and releasing Marshall today so that’s why Marshall people haven’t heard back yet.

@SonarBoom123 Since you have gotten an SGR, you will most likely hear back in June or July. If you are unlucky, you will hear back in early or even mid July. I say this because today is almost the end of May, but there is still a chance that you will hear back tomorrow or Friday. You never know.

Good luck my friend.

@candylover132 You will make it.

any ASTE viterbis ?

@sagaciousforever I’ve seen you around the thread and I think we spoke earlier in the thread/process haha. I’m a sophomore non-ttp applicant. No SGR or anything. My counselors have been getting updates from me and they seem to be positive so hopefully I still have a chance. My circumstance is a little different and I came back home to Cali after attending an OOS private 4 year (top 100 school in the U.S.). Had family issues so I had to come home and my GPA took a hit, 3.0 first semester. This semester I’m taking about 40 units (took a lot of pleading to get the permission at my local CC, people literally shut their doors on me) to show USC I’m capable and I want to be a Trojan. Hopefully they see it and accept me.

@Becausethety Good luck man. Hope that you will make it. USC likes to see upward trend. Your only drawback might be taking 40 units in a semester, which seems a bit excessive.

You should still have a chance so just hang in there!

@sagaciousforever wdym by it would be a drawback? Just curious to hear your pov. The way I saw it was I wanted to show USC how badly I wanted to be there.

@Becausethety Actually it’s shouldn’t be a drawback. But I don’t know too much about taking a lot of units in a semester… My units for the first four semesters of my college are like: 13, 12, 18, 16.

Maybe try to ask @CADREAMIN and @zettasyntax ?

Good luck still!

@candylover132 Hey! I think I saw a while back that you go to UCR as well. What major did you apply for at USC?

Guys, looks like we have to wait one more day or two…

Congrats!! the all accepted applicants!! you deserve it :smile:
