2019-2020 USC Transfer

@zettysyntax I’ll have 7/8 done! Of course I’ll still have to take 2 more to fulfill the mandatory requirement. I’ll take this as an opportunity to take some interesting classes!

@zettasyntax lm actually taking my last usc ge class right now…I know I have to take two there anyways. Do you think this affect my chance of admission? Junior Marshall applicant still waiting

or how can i apply for spring?

@Maxxxxxxxxx You will need to appeal.

@whostolemycookie Junior Marshall applicant as well. Honestly don’t lose hope.

3.77 from Pepperdine here haven’t heard back.

Also, I know two people who got into UCLA and University of Michigan haven’t heard back as well.

We are all qualified applicants, so let’s hope for good news tomorrow if not today.

@Maxxxxxxxxx No.

Is there any other viterbi student waitinf?!

When the portal has your decision, is it obvious before you click on “view decision” to tell what decision it is?
I saw some people said if they were accepted it also had a link to join the admitted students Facebook

@whostolemycookie It shouldn’t. If anything it’ll increase your chances. :smile:

@zettasyntax I assume the process would be the same for people who want to double major at another school? My second major would either be in Price or Marshall. I am assuming I would just let my advisor know at orientation that I intent to double major and they will tell me if there is any additional application process involved and what I need to do.

@zettasyntax Honestly, I will be pissed if USC releases all rejections but no acceptances tomorrow. Hopefully, that is not the case.

I will appeal if I do get rejected. My only disadvantages are the two "W"s and low in units (62 units including AP, 59 units without AP), but transfers usually have to take an extra semester so I don’t think USC is too concerned about that.

@sagaciousforever

Got the email at 8:23! I got in at my first choice which was Dornsife Applied Math.

I’m surprised since I only sent in my SGR yesterday and got a reply email back saying it was received earlier today. Incredibly pleasant surprise!

@elekeek

I’ll be sure to post my stats in the stats thread!

@zettasyntax

Thank you so much!! And thank you to everyone who’s been in this thread helping out!

If I received a WGR (not SGR), should I hear back by tomorrow or is it treated the same as a SGR (as in, there’s a chance of me hearing back after the 31st)?

@ca6882 It does have the “join the transfer admit group” on Facebook on the right side if you are accepted. But it does not automatically show the decision. You need to click " view status update."

USC is taking their time.

I don’t know what goes wrong. So I did not get an SGR, but I uploaded my spring grades at the end of April (3.92 for Spring).

I also emailed USC admission (since my USC counselor is related to the scandal so he no longer works for USC) in mid May, so USC should have received my spring grades a long time ago.

But why am I still waiting?

Yup I got nothing. Seriously I thought I would get my decision today at the latest. If I dont get my decision tomorrow, I will be like what is going on???

It’s May 30! I thought when they said decisions will release BY the 31st I thought they were just saying that as a formality. Didn’t expect to wait this long!

@GoodAfternoonSir Let’s hope for a decision tomorrow.

I wish we are not going to be like my friend last year who heard back in early July without getting an SGR.

If we end up hearing nothing tomorrow, it will be the time to email USC admission next Monday.

3.87 rising sophomore from Michigan State still haven’t heard anything. Got an SGR May 1 and sent grades May 8. Have any out of state people applying to Marshall hear anything get

@transfer2019stu I logged onto my applicant portal-- i didnt get any email updates
