Maybe @FlashyT is right and decisions may very well continue during june and even july. I hope he’s wrong I don’t want to wait so long omg
@GoodAfternoonSir He is right because of my friend’s rare case.
But yeah like what @blueskies2day said, email or call USC admission if you still hear nothing by the end of tomorrow.
@sagaciousforever In that case. I would call admissions directly and ask who you should contact regarding your appeal.
@mase31 Thanks! I will email them if that is the case.
I am not in U.S. now since I am spending time with my family this summer.
@GoodAfternoonSir For SGRs sure. But everyone else should find out fairly soon.
@sagaciousforever True. But considering the rejection rate is like 70% or so (?) many people will be hearing rejections tomorrow
I applied with a 3.85 overall gpa and 4.0 science gpa.
All GE and major requirements completed except 1
First major option neuroscience and second psychology
All requirements completed for psychology and the last math requirement for neuroscience completed with an A
I got a 4.0 gpa this semester so my Total gpa should be 3.9+ and my science gpa still a 4.0
I have a lot of volunteer work + a job
I worked for a year on my application and essays so I don’t know what to expect…
@HouseTrojan32 I have confidence that I will make it tomorrow. I hope that @FlashyT is right that I will most likely get in.
I have sacrificed so much for USC (dropped two classes that I might get a “B” or “B-” because I did not want to risk my GPA) and have been waiting for so long. There are so many qualified applicants here and I am sure that some if not most of us will make it.
The longer that I wait the more I will treasure my acceptance (If it is still possible). May the luck be with me tomorrow.
I think it’s important to remember that admissions is partially based on luck. A 4.0 gpa is great. But USC puts a considerable amount of weight on essays, LORs, personal growth, upward trends, etc. And there are simply too many qualified applicants than spots available.
Just received admissions to Marshall (Pre-Accounting)! Even though it’s coming down to the last string, keep your heads up fam! Best of luck to those that are still waiting for admissions results!
Currently at a top 10 public school with a 4.0 and I haven’t received a SGR or heard anything. However, I wasn’t taking the most difficult classes and I dropped out of school for a year. I only had 18 credits at the time of my application so I went ahead and just sent my spring grades anyways for a total of 33 credits. I hope tomorrow isn’t just mainly rejections because there are a lot of other qualified people on here that haven’t heard back. Good luck to everyone and fight on!
@JJblues Congrats and fight on.
Hang in there guys! Part of it is your grades, but also what majors they are looking to fill. You all have been so helpful to one another and should be admitted for your efforts!
Does anyone know where we can see what classes we get credit for
@DDHH2017 I think its OASIS? I can’t login to it though
@JJblues I got into Marshall too!! Reality still hasn’t settled in. I can’t believe I got in after getting rejected as a freshman and again when I appealed that decision.
@HeyItsNick nothing today but at least tomorrow we will have an answer either way. What a journey. I wish you the best of luck tomorrow.
Okay so according to their site I should be able to minor in anything, including CS – is there anyone I can contact to confirm this? I feel like I’ve pestered my admissions counselor way too much lmao
@DDHH2017 @tchang1 Yes it is. It’ll take a few days to access it through myUSC.
@YuukiKurosu1999 It can be either one. I found out through email to check my portal but some applicants just checked their portals on a whim and found out that way.
Did you received the email or you check the portal?
