how hard is it to switch to a different school within USC? I applied as an East Asian Studies major in dornsife but I want to switch to Health Promotion Disease Prevention in keck. I asked my brother and he said it would be relatively easy but will it be conventional during orientation?
@DDHH2017 I don’t believe so. I’d imagine most credits are transferable, because they want us to graduate in 4 years. I wouldn’t worry about it if USC is your dream school just go for it!

@amghot I got a fantastic financial aid package as a low-income transfer student! I got a bit over $64k in gift aid, which covers all of my tuition plus some. Then was offered a $3k work study and $6.5 in loans ($4.5k sub and $2k unsub loans). I was worried the CSS noncustodial profile would kill my financial aid but it didn’t. No complaints from me with USC’s financial aid lol.
If I don’t get a decision by tomorrow, I’m SIRing to UCLA. I’m really hoping from good news from Annenburg, USC actually has a journalism major.

@ca6882 Thank you so much! I feel sad and anxious… I went to cc for a year with no breaks taking a bunch of units each semester plus summer and winter. USC is my dream school and where I want to pursue my medical career.

@sagaciousforever It’s understandable to be stressed out in your position especially when so many Marshall student have already heard back and you haven’t. However, try to refrain yourself from spamming the same thing every 10 minutes. It’s pretty obvious you’re trying to get some reassurance but it’s not gonna do anything. Try to leave this website and go do something that will keep your mind away from this. You’ll most likely hear back tomorrow.
@zettasyntax Sweet, thanks for the info! I know USC loves to encourage double majors, so I can’t imagine it being too difficult to get into Price or Marshall internally. Now I just need to figure out which one I want as my second major 
@sagaciousforever You have very nice upwards trend and you are coming from a top university! Pepperdine is a great university and if you expressed how USC offers a better program (or something pepperdine doesn’t have) then you should be admitted in my opinion! I also had upwards trend very similar to yours, but screwed up my 1st semester pretty bad and they still let me in. Don’t give up if USC is where you want to be.
@Brendyb10 ugh well for 1 props to you for showing such dedication, that’s really impressive. But 2, I know it’s pointless to say don’t worry, but there are gonna be huge waves of acceptances tomorrow. I wouldn’t doubt yours is in that wave. You have great stats and seemed to really work on your app, really hoping you get in!
