same^^, I spoke with Mrs. Jennifer Cox, hopefully viterbi will flush out the rest by end of today
Nice! I got a C in Java 2… but A’s in Calc 3 and Physics 2. You guys think that’ll ruin it?
So my FAST link is gone on my portal, but all I see is my check list. I have no admission decision what so ever but the option to withdraw my application is still there… I’m so confused. I e-mailed my counselor and I’m hoping to hear back today… does this mean I got rejected?
**update - I called they told me that the individual school is still reviewing my application and I should have a decision as soon as possible.
@ncityusc Just an FYI. my DD called SCA admissions and they told her they will let you all know (who are still waiting…) in the next couple of weeks…
@ebstein Weeks? Wow. We might as well have gotten a SGR to pass the time. Thank you for letting me know.
I’ll be calling in a bit as well, at least so they know that many of us are waiting impatiently, lol. Good luck to your daughter!
Does anyone think that this delay in so many decisions might be because of the scandal and, in my case, SCA getting my application a little bit later because of it, causing the delay? I’ve lurked on past threads and I don’t see this happening often prior to this year.
@ncityusc When I spoke to them on the phone just now they said they hoped to have decisions out by the end of the week for the people who have not received an SGR and are still waiting…apparently theres a handful of us
@daniiellesara Another week of pain lol. Thank you for the info!
@ncityusc if anything i took it as a good-ish thing. They didn’t reject us outright. Clearly they see something good in us if they feel they want to review us a little more before giving us a decision
@daniellesara I agree! Many rejections went out on the 31st so not being included in that is a good thing in my opinion. We have to have been left waiting for a reason. Hopefully all of us hear good news soon.
Most likely will wait to see how financial aid is but I can foresee it being nothing special and I will tell usc no thanks (hopefully one of you Dornsife people will take my spot.) As of now, I’m going to Pepperdine and can’t wait:)!!! Good job to those who got in, and for those still waiting, I hope you get accepted! It’s been real y’all <3
@zettasyntax In regards to scheduling classes, how does it work for first time transfer students? I was looking at my major requirements, and they’re all full already.
so it has been roughly almost been a month since my semester ended, but one of my professors still hasnt submitted final grades. i am unable to send my grades. what should i do?
@whatsup1995 Can you contact the Admissions & Records office? Or maybe an academic counselor? A month…gosh that’s way too long
@mase31 You’re a poli sci major right? Which courses are you looking at? USC does often save space for transfers and opens them during orientation. You sometimes have to look at past years to know what’s going on as sometimes I don’t think people notice what’s going on. I was actually very happy that I was able to get into every single course I wanted to take
@mase31 is there a deadline for SGRs? im getting way too stressed over things not in my control
@whatsup1995 You’re going to be fine. Those who are going to quarter system schools haven’t even finished school yet. So you’ll have lots of time to send out your grade.
How long until we find out for those who got SGR? I sent them my transcripts a few days ago. Is it rolling?
@zettasyntax Yup! I see. I’m looking at Regulations of Elections & Political Finance, Applied Politics, and a couple others. It sucks that USC courses are 4 units and my cc courses were all 3 units so I have to complete one more posc course to meet the 40 unit requirement. I’m glad that posc courses aren’t sequential unlike other majors because then I probably won’t be able to graduate in 2 years.
